I tested the "free trial" to see if this was a company I could trust. It wasn't.
First, they force you into a $90 yearly plan just to access the trial—already suspicious. I signed up, but decided within the week that I’d prefer a month-to-month commitment. I did the routine thing: I hit cancel subscription in my Apple settings. The system confirmed my access would expire at the end of the week.
Instead, IPVanish killed my account the second they realized I wasn't going to be their $90 cash cow. The economy is trashed; yearly subs are a gamble nobody should be taking right now. These greedy, untrustworthy pigs need to read their developer terms of service, which strictly forbids killing access before a trial period ends. They broke the contract, not I.
I will never trust this company or any service they ever offer. If you can’t trust your VPN provider to be on the up and up, who can you trust? note: these guys front loaded a bunch of fake 5 star reviews. To get the real user experience, sort reviews by “most recent”.

IPVanish cancelled my elderly mother’s account claiming “hundreds of simultaneous connections.” She can barely log into one device.

Either their system is broken or her account was compromised—but instead of investigating, they shut her down and refused to provide real evidence.

No transparency. No accountability. Years of loyalty meant nothing.

Be warned: your account can be terminated without proof—and support won’t help.
