iReal Pro

I love this app and have used it for years... the newest update has changed the layout and now in portrait mode, songs are always displayed at the side unless I hit full screen. I changed settings to default full screen but it does not work. This becomes frustrating if you are trying to call up tracks in no specific order as it adds extra steps. please fix so that in portrait mode, picking a song automatically opens the music and closes the side panel.

I would like to sync my iPhone and my Mac And iReal Pro has no simply way to explain how to facilitate that process

Jazz, Latin, Pop and Blues styles to playalong with, editable charts, forum provides thousands of charts submitted by other users. Each version update brings more features. I sync my Apple devices, iPhone, iPad, Mac (e.g. alterations and additions at rehearsal are right there on my Mac when I get home). Great tool for learning chord scales, and has guitar, ukulele diagrams and piano voicings. The editor is easy to use, there are options for a new blank song and it's form, and up to 96 measures if you squash them in. Very useful for singers and songwriters because you can create your chart with possible chords and hear a backing as you work on lyrics. It's a required app for many music courses around the world. I use it in the background with a music PDF app to read my notation from as it does not allow notation or lyrics within itself but some just export the audio track of their songs and attach them to each PDF page and play it from there. I've arrived at gigs and all the bands are using it, so it's easy to sit in. A definite buy for musicians.

Invaluable app, and a great community behind it. Playlists, instant transposition when a singer turns up at your gig, I never leave the house without it.

This is by far my most valuable and number 1 used app that I have on my iPhone, iPad and Mac. I use it for a number of purposes - my own practice, to help tutor students, and writing charts for my own live gigs. I do a lot of fill in work live so being able to chart songs ahead of time of tunes that I don't often play means I can hit the songs live and on the fly with no problems. I'm talking about non jazz songs that aren't on the forums. This alone makes it worthwhile for me. This has also become my most valuable practice and tutoring tool by going through arpeggios, chord work, improv solo and creating other exercises. Simply put, this app is worth every cent and then some!

I now use iReal Pro on both my MacBook and iPhone, it's convenient and easy to use. Best app I have ever bought. Five stars, without a doubt.

This app is just incredible, it's like every backing track you've ever wanted all in one. The online forums have 1000s of hit tunes to download instantaneously or you can create your own if you know the chords. As a saxophonist who plays solo gigs I have found this really useful. Highly recommend! You will not regret once you get the hang of it :)
