I love this app
I’ve been using iReal for years for teaching, gigging, and practicing, and it’s simply the best of the breed. And it keeps getting better. Customer service is great and they’re always looking for ways to improve the app. A must have app for working musicians.
Ten years ago, I was playing gigs with a young jazz singer and his friends, a drummer, bassist, and a trumpeter. They attended a school where there were no heavy players, nor a culture of such. I would play the gig from the singers iPad. This was my introduction to iReal Pro. No complaints, I like iReal Pro! I even run it via WiFi to my board from my iPhone. Back to this group - One day the trumpeter told me that the iReal Pro is the new Aebersold. I said no, because iReal Pro doesn’t show the head. Can you add the melody? Cheers, Andy
Thank you!
Have found the app to be very flexible in a multitude of ways from keys, tempos, and style. Using when I play gigs at a stroke rehab facilities. Walker/wheelchair/ Geriatric Chair groups.
I use iRealPro to try out chord progressions for songs I’m writing. It lets me try the song in different styles and tempos which can unlock some cool ideas. Also if the song hold up well in different genres then I know it’s gonna be good.
This app is amazing . It’s such a valuable tool for improving your playing and it gives you the opportunity to simulate playing with a band.
The jazz playlist now seems to be a mix of jazz and pop. It’s missing a lot of standards.
Need more Rhythmic Chordal features, such as quaver and semi-quaver beams in the bar, which are widely used in contemporary music.
