However, Orthoptera and related insects are not well recorded in the UK and so scientists have little information about their distribution and abundance. This information is vital for us to discern changes in population or distribution due to changes in the environment such as land use and climate change. This guide will make it easy for you to identify and record the grasshoppers and crickets you find. The app features lots of information about each species, high quality image galleries and also sound files of each vocal species so that you can identify them by call. The app also features associated insects such as the earwigs, stick insects and cockroaches. ## iRecord Grasshoppers Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple113/v4/60/c9/b4/60c9b447-f043-fb1c-5e3a-44869b0da173/mzl.ljlsloji.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple113/v4/33/46/bb/3346bbfb-2060-e512-7d62-59ab1c092b9c/mzl.ertudlcp.png/640x960.png) ## iRecord Grasshoppers Rating Breakdown in United Kingdom - 5 stars: 1 (25%) - 4 stars: 1 (25%) - 3 stars: 1 (25%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 1 (25%) ## iRecord Grasshoppers Reviews in United Kingdom ### ***-- "Whatever happened to the option to record sounds" The information in the app is all useful, but it’s a shame that the’bat detector’ facility has been removed. It was the only way I was aware that certain species were about. -- Myxomage, 2024-06-18 ### *---- "Needs updating or replacing" The app is fine but simply does not log in despite having a valid account on iRecord, it repeatedly says there’s an error. In that case it’s not any use if you want to contribute. -- Kaosdiver, 2023-07-18 ### ****- "Great but requires update" Really useful app. Would score 5 stars if it was up to date. There’s at least one species missing (Large Conehead) and some maps & distribution comments are well out of date (e.g. Tree Crickets are now abundant at Dungeness in south Kent). -- Sequella, 2020-09-17 ### ***** "High quality and comprehensive" The best natural history app I have seen. Sound recordings very useful for fieldwork. -- Martin, Reading, 2019-11-12 ### ***** "Excellent" Fantastic app. Really like the sound recordings -- Hephzibah Eden, 2016-01-18 [View all iRecord Grasshoppers reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Apps Similar to iRecord Grasshoppers - [Echo Meter Touch Bat Detector](https://apptail.io/app/echo-meter-touch-bat-detector-TTd/united-kingdom) - [Der Kosmos Vogelführer](https://apptail.io/app/der-kosmos-vogelfuhrer-rUe/united-kingdom) - [Dragonfly Damselfly ID App](https://apptail.io/app/dragonfly-damselfly-id-app-oih/united-kingdom) - [Bird Call Xeno - Bird Songs](https://apptail.io/app/bird-call-xeno-bird-songs-otve/united-kingdom) - [Song Meter Configurator](https://apptail.io/app/song-meter-configurator-BTUf/united-kingdom) - [SeagrassSpotter](https://apptail.io/app/seagrassspotter-TdWf/united-kingdom) - [The Shark Trust](https://apptail.io/app/the-shark-trust-OhWf/united-kingdom) - [BirdWeather](https://apptail.io/app/birdweather-Kltl/united-kingdom) - [Bug ID - Insect Identifier](https://apptail.io/app/bug-id-insect-identifier-Xtnq/united-kingdom) - [iNaturalist](https://apptail.io/app/inaturalist-lBls/united-kingdom) ## iRecord Grasshoppers Available In - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/united-kingdom) - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/united-states) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/belgium) - [Bulgaria](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/bulgaria) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/canada) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/switzerland) - [Czechia](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/czechia) - [Germany](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/germany) - [Denmark](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/denmark) - [Estonia](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/estonia) - [Spain](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/spain) - [France](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/france) - [Greece](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/greece) - [Austria](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/austria) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/ireland) - [Iceland](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/iceland) - [Italy](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/italy) - [Lithuania](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/lithuania) - [Luxembourg](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/luxembourg) - [Latvia](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/latvia) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/netherlands) - [Norway](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/norway) - [Poland](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/poland) - [Portugal](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/portugal) - [Romania](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/romania) - [Sweden](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/sweden) - [Hungary](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/hungary) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/irecord-grasshoppers-JhWf/australia) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
