iRISCO Reviews

Really average app and now chargeable.

Really average app. Spent £1200 on my alarm system and the company has stopped producing parts and made it obsolete. To add insult, they now want to charge for the app!

I wouldn’t recommend installing any kind of iRISCO product. This review could go on and on but I will keep it short and simple to hopefully help other homeowners considering the system in their houses. All I can say is it’s clunky, unsupported and unreliable. Honestly, we wish we could go back in time and have a better system installed.

Rubbish

Buggy and unreliable

Doddmj on

What’s happened to the latest version? Takes ages to load up, I’m standing outside my house waiting to set/unset, watching a blinking load up screen. Even if I was using it minutes previously. Set alarm last night. Woke up this morning. Went to unset. Been Logged out. Log back in. No sites set up in the app. Need to reset up the app, no idea what all the details are. You started charging for the app on the basis you’d invest in it. I’ve not seen any improvements and it remains buggy. And yes, mine is professionally installed and maintained, before you suggest I get a professional installer to review it.

After update

Reasonable app until the last update 5 days ago. Now it takes an age for the app to initially load. Please fix it.

Works well, could do with a set unset option for Apple Watch.

IRISCO does not work with burglars

CharlieAlarm on

United Kingdom

We installed it over 2 years ago. Burglars got inside the house. I didn’t get any alert. My husband got by email, so would he read the 3:25am notification? The cameras didn’t work, they took 2 v expensive bikes from the dining room, but that sensor with camera didn’t work. Only worked from the study, but that did no have a camera. Asked 9 of my neighbours and nobody heard the alarm, even they sleep 15m from the siren. Do not recommend. Cero stars. Did not work when you need it. Service was done 6 days before.

Don’t let the other reviews put you off. The app is designed to be clutter free and uses modern fonts etc. As a security engineer, I’d suggest people who complain about issues with connectivity should look at their own networks first as I can say hand on heart Risco has one of the most stable and available cloud services. Compared to other manufacturers in this field it’s as good as it gets.
