App is good as it supports boot from file system. I ran kali ios on my ipad using this app. How can I login as root user? When I type login its asks password if I enter alpine it wont work. Please guide

When a process is in while(1) loop not able to forcefully kill by Ctrl+C signal. Eg. void main()
{while(1);}          $ ./a.out  not able to kill by current as well as by another instance of ish too…

One issue: I can't browse ISH files using Files app. It says "Folder content could not be displayed because of an unknown error." This used to happen in beta version, but restarting usually fixes it. But, it doesn't for latest version.

Alpine is a lightweight Linux OS

You can do anything on it_

* scripting 
* ssh
* awk
* bash
* zsh
* anything*

* you can add package by running “apk add zsh” or “apk add openssh”

I even built a Django app on it

You can run nodejs

You can face some problems in running databases due to limiting ram on iPad

Mine is 8th gen iPad - 2gb of ram facing some memory segmentation issues for Postgres, mariaDB has some issue too but after some deep dive you can run a lightweight database

I found the installation had errors, then after installing unable to run it.

Better to give a GUI apart from the Terminal - give us XFCE or LXDE so that it’s light & we could really do something as non developers

I have been using ish from past few days I tried all the possibilities of alpine now I am really satisfied with ish. I was looking for termux alternative on iPad so I can connect ssh and edit files through vim.
And you can also install any package through apk add package command which is so perfect. There are few things that are not working but it’s bcoz of hardware of iPad. You can use VNC as well. In nutshell all the programming languages like python , dotnetcore , java , c , Cpp , go , node , deno will easily install on ish and operating through vim is a fun. Thanks for making such a great app for free
