It doesn’t matter if you get short of breath walking up a flight of stairs, or you are an Olympic athlete striving to reach a gold medal, we can help you Breathe Way Better.
Take a deep breath in and hold for 3 seconds and breathe out. (Inhale) As you breathe in, you introduce new fresh oxygen rich air into your lungs. (Exhale) As you breathe out, you purge your system of built-up CO2. The more your body moves, the more it uses oxygen and produces CO2. Once the lungs are working at their capacity, any further movement is limited. With a healthy set of lungs, even at maximum exertion, we only ever use about 70% of the lung capacity possible.  If there was only a way we could tap into the full potential of your respiratory system, we could unlock your unbridled capability.
Hello!  My name is Luke Way. I am the founder and CEO of The Breathe Way Isocapnic Respiratory Training System. I have been an endurance coach for 20 years. I specialize in elite level triathlon, but also work with elite level mountain bikers, and world class CrossFitters. The methodology I use is based around understanding one's strengths and weaknesses. I create programs that are positive, effective, and with integrity that train the weaknesses with science-backed methods into strengths.  We do this by finding objective truths about the athlete through physiologic assessment.
A few years ago, after seeing there is a trend that most athletes are limiting their performance because of the way they breathe, I tried to find a way to effectively isolate and train the respiratory system.  I could not find any device that would work for our needs.  And so after many late night conversations with Dr Sellars (my mentor) and Alex (a close friend and thriving mind), we invented the Breathe Way Isocapnic Training System. This is a three pillared system that consists of the hardware, the software, and the curation of knowledge. Our goal is to be the world leader in respiratory training in 5 years.
Hardware:
The Isocapnic Breathe Way allows you to breathe as hard and fast as you want, without feeling faint or otherwise pushing your oxygen - CO2 balance outside of their normal range. This way your respiratory system can be effectively challenged in its full range of motion to help you build more capacity and strength.  By recapturing a portion of your exhaled CO2 and rebreathing it with a small amount of fresh air, you can continue to breathe harder and faster than you ever could before, while keeping you safe.
Software:
The app and web page are designed to deliver all the resources you need to make the best use of the hardware. Giving you biofeedback, workouts, training programs, personal logs, third party integration like Strava or TrainingPeaks, as well as relevant educational materials to help further your understanding of just how useful and important your respiratory system is to performance, health and wellness.
Curation of knowledge:
There has been so much discovered about the respiratory system that has not been widely shared with the public. Ideas like the value of the Yoga breath, Whim Hoff breathing, etc., are only just scratching the surface of this life and energy giving system we all possess. We aim to curate this knowledge in an ongoing conversation about the respiratory system, effectively delivered with integrity and positivity.

This App is the best to work on my breathing frequency. I can choose to do Zone 2 breathing at around 22-28 BF with this App. I like the beeps as well so I can move around and not constantly look at the screen to stay on the BF path. My clients also find it easy to use. Game changer :)
