I asked for a refund after 5 minutes. It supposed to be super accurate but he just doesn’t work. Picking a string make the tuner switches between 3 different notes constantly. The numbers (Hz or cents) on the side go completely crazy, changing constantly. Impossible to read and use.
Very accurate tuner, I expected no less from a Peterson tuner. However…charging extra for sweetened tunings is just greedy and makes me feel like a fool for dishing out an all ready handsome price. Disappointed in your business practice there, Peterson.
Currently my favourite tuning app, but it seems to have issues on the 3 brightest strings. The strobes go up and down and glitch around as if it doesnt hear it clear enough, sometimes it gets clear and works, but quickly glitches out again. I’m fairly certain it’s not a microphone issue.
It's ok with an acoustic guitar. Not worth the price. Not any better than good cheap ones.
After the upgrade, with addons, this is by a long stretch the best tuning app for iOS.

It's the most accurate and best tuners available - not only for Iphone, but in general. It's so accurate that you can intonate guitars and basses if you are a guitarmaker :)
App doesn’t work well, especially compared to the competition. Notes just don’t seem to track well, seems to be a sensitivity issue / calibration between mic input and the strobe UI. Love my strobostomp but this app isn’t worthy of the Peterson name.
I have a Peterson strobo clip tuner which I love to use, and I also like the sweetened tunings. However, this app can only use the microphone for its input. If you are using a guitar interface and amp sim for iPad or iPhone, you can only tune acoustically using the microphone, which does not work for a noisy environment. Huge bummer.
The initial purchase price unlocks a crippled version of the app, and it is $60 to get a discounted bundle of features. I bought this to basically preview the method the hardware uses to tune, and now I’m totally put off and will be buying another brand of strobe tuner. In-app purchases shouldn’t be displayed as app features you get for your initial also high prices for an app $9.99. I wish Apple made it easier to get a refund. Completely dismayed at this travesty of marketing. $70 buys me hardware, the app shouldn’t cost more than the actual hardware.
