The SALUS iT500 Smartphone controlled thermostat gives you the freedom to control your heating at anytime from anywhere. The iT500 App has some great features: 
 
• Choose from three preset heating schedules for quick set up or create your own.
• Hot water scheduling with three on/off times and up to 3 hours boost function.
• Simple to add heating schedules. Choose from ALL, 5/2 or INDIVIDUAL days.
• Geo-location alerts when you are a set distance from your home, reminding you to set holiday mode or asking if you would like to turn the heating on so that you return to a warm home.
 • With easy to follow walk through tutorials on how to use the App.
 
SALUS iT500 supports iPhone 4 and higher and iOS7+.

The app could really use some updates and improvements. I have to log in every single time I open it and input the email and password manually because there is no setting to stay logged in/use Face ID/memorise the log ins…in 2025 that’s just not up to standard.

This app is intended to do one thing - turn on the heating at the programmed time. Doesn’t work. Constantly displays that it is not connected to internet. Tried to turn on heating from car a few weeks ago so that house would be warm when we returned. App showed it had turned on heating but when we arrived home the heating wasn’t on. There is no point to it - a waste of customers time and money.

I installed my  iT500 about eight years ago and have had no problems in all that time till now. I have lost control of the system via the app and am unable to upgrade as suggested by the manufacturer. I tried calling support but this has proved to be pointless. I will be removing this system at the weekend and replacing it with a company that is working with it’s clients

Winter is here and it’s time to renew my fight with this glitchy, unreliable piece of poor programming. You enter your timings / temps, make sure you save them properly and it doesn’t respond. I’ve had my Salus IT500 for over 10 years since 2013.  It has been consistently reliable. I can switch between automatic to manual to preset settings. 

If you have a problem it’s usually because the batteries (which last for ages) in the remote thermostat need replaced or the wall receiver is off. Otherwise it’s problem free and easy to use the app on my iPhone. 

It’s a cost saving value for money product.
