--- Welcome to the world of real tanpura, shruti and tabla sounds ---
Our digital tanpura, shruti and tabla (taal mala) are based on real instrument sound samples, recorded in studio with a master sound engineer and professional musicians. The sound samples extracted from the recordings are carefully selected and masterised for the best musical rendering. We don't use any compressed mp3 sound. Our aim is to provide to the musicians an ambiance of real instruments.
Several high quality and perfectly tuned tampura sound samples are provided within iTabla Pandit. You can use them in ANY PITCH by changing the key. How to change the sound? Just select your new sound in the list and the instrument will play with this sound.
iTabla Pandit includes a set of stereo tanpura sound samples, recorded with AB stereo microphone technique.
For the future updates of iTabla Pandit (and iTabla Desktop, Tampura Generator on computer), we're planning to record new sound samples to provide more variety and best quality to the musicians who trust in our software. In 2011, some new sounds recorded in XY technique will be available.

Our software provides a very convenient way to save and reload all your different instrument settings.
With the presets, you can save multiple configurations for multiple usages. You save time and don't loose your tunings. For example, for a concert, you may have a preset for each song you're playing.
By default, when you quit, the current configuration is saved and restored at the next startup.

How to take into GarageBand?

Not good enough

It's ok for few days of beginning, but then you see many shortcomings. It was costly and is no use after 2 months of practice. The load new music does not work nor their is any support. I won't recommend anyone to waste money on this.

One of the best Tabla softwares I have worked with..

I am having a blast with this software. This is truly one of the best Tabla softwares I have worked with. I hooked up my iPhone with Pro Tools and having a great time exploring the various options this software offers. The more I play with it, the more I seem to love it. I am music composer and find this really helpful!! I would like couple of improvments though. The Tempo is not manually editable. It is difficult to get the exact tempo with the vertical scroll bar. I would like to see better Engineering with the sounds. It could be richer.

Great tanbura

The best tanpura sounds from any app. A bit spendy, but what to do. The tabla is ok, but sounds a bit in the distance. The other competing app "Itabla Pro" has much better tabla acoustics, but a really bad tanpura. This app has the best tanpura from all the other apps, with a nice deep longer hold on the last note, (the low sa), and lots of user options. And great sound-acoustics on the tanpura too. This is the app I prefer when I want to listen to the tanpura. I am giving 4 stars only because the tabla acoustics, while ok, need to have better sound engineering.

They fixed it!

I said I would change my review if they fixed the bug and they did, very quickly. It's app is very cool even though I know very little about Indian music. I like to use the drones for intonation practice and improvise to the drums. The sound is very good and easy to listen to. Good job!

Amazing!

I bought this app after buying itabla pro. This app offers so many layers of effects,many unavailable in the other tabla app. Although I must say, itabla offers a better tabla and presets. Please update the tabla. Everything else is way better.

Fantastic Ap!!!!

I am truly impressed with the quality of this product. My practice is much easier now that I can have a tampura & tabla with me at all times. I love the versatility of this product. Perhaps the developer could add Ektara as well at some point?
