## ITerminal Pro Description
iTerminal Pro is the Pro Version of iTerminal on iPhone and iPad. iTerminal is a simple yet very powerful SSH and Telnet client on your iPhone and iPad. You can connect to remote servers through SSH or Telnet with iTerminal. Besides all the features available on iTerminal, the Pro Version removes all advertisement and includes professional Tech Support. 

Supported features include: 

- Connect to your servers using user name/password or private key authentication through SSH. 

- Connect to your servers using Telnet.

- Support Server List. 

- Support exporting Server info to and importing Server info from iCloud. Now Server info can be easily transferred among different versions and devices.

- Support to connect through Socks 5 Proxy Server. 

- Support history of Recent Tasks. 

- Support Private Key Management and encrypted PEM and PPK keys up to 4096 bit long.

I use oh-my-zsh on my linux instances, normal ssh will pass through all the awesomeness of zsh as well as the font and theme. 

Using this terminal, my zsh font is forcibly overwritten by the app’s font, and the theme is broken, making everything that makes zsh handy at a glance completely useless. There is other terminal apps that don’t override themes, and my preferences in zsh carry through perfectly.

Other than rendering the features of my normal shell obsolete, this terminal works great, so long as appearance means nothing.

Allowing users to set their terminal appearance is fine, so long as the customization is more than 5 colors for font and background

### ***** "Does what I need"
I use it to connect to servers I administer via ssh, it works well for that.  Allows use of keys for logging in, works well with my Logitech  Slim Combo keyboard on my ipad pro from 2016.  It is nice to be able to have a reliable ssh client that I can carry around with me for when I need to fix somethiing.

Had a problem show up recently (12/2021) where the Apple iOS change clobbered the arrow keys, messaged tech support and they got right on it.

Note that the copy function is kludgy when copying large blocks of test, but I don’t need to do that often.

This is my most used app other than mail and browsers.

I don’t know if this app works or not. I have tried ssh-Leyden keys that obviously do not work, converted .pub->pem keys that do not work, and I even tried a key gen’d on Debian and it doesn’t work either. I’m sick of trying to use keys with this app and I want my money back! I wish zero stars were accepted because that would be my rating!

### **--- "Works for Linux/Unix vi vim editor BUT no keepalive"
Update 20200228:  CRITICAL bug.  When returning to iTERM from a different iOS application, the existing ssh session is stalled.  Terminal session keepalive not currently supported.  This is a SERIOUS problem for use of multiple applications simultaneously.

Fix this and I will change from 2 to 5 star rating.

Original:  Have searched everywhere for ipad (pro) ios 13 compatible SSH terminal emulator for Linux/Unix supporting copy and paste text functions, traditionally CTL+INS and SHIFT+INS (where physical Apple keyboard either lacks INS key or if does have INS key sends wrong characters) and found this iTERM as THE solution.  When using vi vim editor, you can click on iTERM displayed ios format edit icon to enter 'copy' mode, then use a physical mouse and pointer (now that ios 13 supports mice) to highlight the text.  Iterm then automatically displays a copy button, can use the display keyboard for ESC escape function.  Then move cursor to desired location w/ vi commands, i insert mode, right click mouse and iTERM displays a 'paste' button for use!

LOVE IT! 

Now, if they could incorporate iTERM into an RDP session from iOS to a remote Windows VM would be absolutely a jewel!

I searched for X11 on the App Store, and this came up at the top.  However, it doesn’t do any X11.  If I get a refund, I would be happy to increase my review to 5 stars because it is a decent SSH terminal client.  The next, possibly only real X11 client in the list, is X11 Mocha which has a terrible rating and costs $30, so I guess thee really is no X11 client for iOS.  Odd considering MacOS X is based on UNIX, but I suppose that’s Apple for you.  They really do not support developers.

The layout is amazing for mobile. 
Very mobile friendly, no bugs one tiny thing; however, wish it would keep the SSH server to stay open when switching through apps so when a user comes back, they can finish where they left off.
