## iTrack Wildlife Pro Description
Identify the tracks and signs of North American mammals with a field guide created by wildlife biologist Jonah Evans, a CyberTracker-certified Track & Sign Specialist and Evaluator.

iTrack Wildlife Pro combines detailed photographs, track illustrations, identification notes, and search tools for use in the field or at home.

THE FIELD GUIDE
• 71 North American mammal entries, including species and useful identification groups.
• More than 900 track, sign, animal, and skull photographs with detailed captions.
• Front and hind track icons, track measurements, gait descriptions, and comparisons with similar species.
• Original stipple track drawings for 43 guide entries. Enlarge drawings, switch between front and hind feet, or view them at Life size after ruler calibration.
• Search by common or scientific name, track length and width, toes, claws, symmetry, family, and state, province, territory, or Mexico.
• Favorites and a side-by-side list and guide on iPad.

PRACTICE AND FIELD TOOLS
• Track & Sign Flashcards: study bundled Tracks, Sign, or Both photos, reveal the identification and caption, and browse relevant guide notes. Choose a 10–50-card or Continuous deck and optional flip animation.
• A calibrated ruler with inches, centimeters, and full-screen measuring.
• Illustrated guidance on measuring tracks, gait patterns, tracking tips, and field equipment.
• Offline Wikipedia articles, with optional downloads of updated copies.

OPTIONAL iNATURALIST FEATURES
• Browse reusable community-reviewed photographs from the North American Animal Tracks Database, with credits and links to the original observations. Sort by Newest or Closest.
• Filter guide species using nearby iNaturalist records, or generate a broader Nearby Species animal list and save the latest list for offline use.
• Experimental iNaturalist flashcards let you inspect an observation's reusable photographs before revealing its community identification. Public state/province and country labels provide location context. Identifications can be mistaken or ambiguous.

The field guide, bundled flashcards, ruler, and saved Wikipedia articles work offline. Loading new iNaturalist data or downloading article updates requires internet access. Location access is optional. Nearby records are approximate and do not prove that an animal is present or absent.

Version 2.0 is an update to the existing paid Pro app. Existing Pro owners do not need to buy it again. No subscription or in-app purchase is required.

Requires iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later.

## iTrack Wildlife Pro Reviews in United States

### **--- "Not what I expected"
I wanted to snap a photo and find out what animal tracks I was seeing. These are illustrations with what animal made them; a $3 booklet at my local sports store. I purchased the pro app for $14 and it prompted be to upgrade to a bundle, so for 14 more dollars I get the basic version too ? I’m confused and feel ripped off.
-- BobbyParker, 2023-01-01

### *---- "A waste"
I started with A and it doesn’t have an alligator. Very little for the $
-- Bryan 1776, 2022-08-25

### *---- "Do not waste your money!"
This was not at all what I expected and was not useful. Do not waste your money.
-- Customer46131, 2021-09-30

### ***** "Best track app I’ve found for the US"
I found this app to be a handy reference to always have on hand. It would be nice to have the option of sorting the species taxonomical instead of alphabetically. A quiz feature could also be fun.
-- Cinclus-, 2021-07-09

### *---- "Not happy with app"
Not what I expected it to be
-- Davidg1975, 2021-01-10

### ***** "It’s still the best out there!"
I’ve been using this app for the past year year and a half or so after taking a tracking class here in the south west. It is by far the best way to identify animal tracks and sign. I would love it if he could upgrade and diversify the data perhaps by teaming up with someone who has done extensive work and is only published in books. Jonah, thank you for this great app and I look forward to improvements in the coming years.
-- Great Basin Planner, 2020-12-21

### *---- "Incompatible With Dark Mode"
It’s February, 2020. Doesn’t display properly in dark mode. By this point, for $14.99, it should. No excuse.
-- Iwa Washi, 2020-02-17

### ***** "Fantastic App"
I am using this on my Iphone 5 on my field trips. It is totally self-contain for off line use. Very accurate tracking expert guides me as I look around. Better than any field manual I ever own. The developer fix the small wording in two days. So the text is now easy to read. Support this app by buying it.
-- Uddhava1, 2017-10-31

### ***** "Awesome Tool!"
Every naturalist, of every level will benefit from having this tool in their pocket on a hike!
-- SkipHobbieProductions, 2017-02-24

### ***** "Fantastic deal"
The amount of information you receive from this app is invaluable. Itrack pro is an incredibly useful tool in the field of wildlife tracking and I would highly recommend this investment for anyone interested in tracking or simply curious about North American wildlife.
