Field Tools ensures Itron ERTs are configured correctly, allowing a utility to properly bill consumers and analyze meter data with a mobile or head-end system. Field Tools is designed to improve the efficiency of today’s field worker when installing, programming and checking Itron ERTs. Built on the Itron Mobile foundation, Field Tools enables the use of smartphones and tablets to perform various field tasks related to managing utility meter data collection hardware. Field Tools includes features such as: • Configuring device telemetry parameters • Configuring communication modes • Changing from mobile to network mode • Validating network configuration • Reading Tampers • Checking meter configurations • High Speed Firmware download on select devices • Extracting Interval Data • Intelis meter Valve Commands • Cellular Network Coverage Validation Flexibility Field Tools is designed to run on smartphones and tablets allowing a Utility to choose the best and most affordable device for each employee, and working alongside other apps reducing the number of mobile devices carried by a field worker. Connected The mobile field worker can synchronize new configurations throughout the day using any Internet connection (cellular, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet) from anywhere: at home, in the office, or in the field. Programming Field Tools connects to a designated head-end cloud server to retrieve customer-specific meter configurations needed to accurately program ERTs and meters in the field. Validation Field Tools provides the field worker and utility with the comfort and satisfaction that billing will be accurate. Network-Attach Field Tools enables a smooth transition of ERTs and meters from mobile to network modes, in addition to validating network attach information after an ERT or meter has associated with a network. Itron Wireless Communications Modules Field Tools uses the compact Itron Mobile Radio that uses Bluetooth® to connect to the Field Tools app on a variety of mobile devices. Itron radios support Wakeup and Bubble Up ERTs. Supported Itron Radios: IMR, IMR2, IMR-FT Supported ERTs: 40G/GB, 50W, 60W, 60WP, 100G, 100W, OpenWay Riva 500G, 500W and Intelis Gas meters, Gen5 500G, 500W and Intelis Gas meters, Cellular 500G and 500W ERT Modules, and Solar Battery Access Points (SBAP) Supported Feature Set: Read, Check, Program, Switch to Network mode, Switch to Mobile mode and more Itron continually works to add more ERTs and features to Field Tools. Other than that it’s great. -- Ggaass mmaann, 2024-09-25 ### *---- "Needs to be reinstalled every 2 weeks" App requires me to update my security token every two weeks otherwise it is not usable. This is ridiculous. I have to delete it and reinstall every 14 days. This is not just my experience, everyone of my coworkers have to do this as well. -- Gregg$greGg, 2024-03-27 ### *---- "Authenticate token" Have to reinstall app every 2 weeks. There’s no way to get it to reauthenticate the token when all it does is tell me to sign out all over again. It’s just a continuous unneeded cycle Here I am again asking for the token authentication to be fixed so we don’t have to delete and reinstall every time. It’s annoying! -- Bam52013, 2024-03-26 ### *---- "Terrible" You have to delete and reinstall the app every 2 weeks. Ridiculous. EDIT - I’m not mistaking anything as they suggested. Every 14 days it needs a new security token, when you try and re authenticate it errors out and the only way to get it to work again is to delete and reinstall. Our company has contacted support about this problem numerous times and they are told too bad, a fix will not happen so deal with it. -- jdklsjjjskdfflorndddjjjuuuuaaa, 2023-05-25 ### ***** "Works great" I love the security components that are inherent to the app - it makes it easy to explain and display for security audits. The button sizes and locations work excellent for one-handed operations in the field too (iPhone). I also love that functions/use are nearly identical from WIN laptop app to iOS app. -- I break things when I test!, 2023-02-24 ### ***** "The latest thing for Itron gas and water endpoints" As the product manager for Field Tools, of course I have to give it a five-star rating. This new app represents the realization of customer requests over the past several years to move our support onto smartphones. We have worked hard with Itron customers to build an app that is intuitive to use, easier to navigate and still performs the necessary functions needed in the field. Add to that the increased level of security customers demand these days and this new app becomes the go-to tool for use with Itron gas and water endpoints in North America. We are always interested in hearing from our customers so we can work to improve the app as it matures. -- The original AsaJay, 2023-02-23 ### ***** "Easy ERT work" This new app makes the job of installing and troubleshooting ERTs a lot easier since I can use my phone instead of other bulky equipment. It’s easier to use too. -- BabalooKahn, 2023-02-23 ### ***** "Better than FDM Tools" Even though it does not have all the electric support yet, this new app from Itron us so much easier to use than their old FDM Tools product. The fact they’ve made an app for iPhones is awesome and makes my job easier. -- apptoolsuser, 2023-02-23 ### *---- "This suxxxxx" The most annoying part of my job using this foolish app -- dombaby216, 2023-01-26 [View all Itron Field Tools reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Itron Field Tools Discovered Keywords - field tools ## Apps Similar to Itron Field Tools - [ClickMobile Touch](https://apptail.io/app/clickmobile-touch-ltn/united-states) - [EWN Mobile](https://apptail.io/app/ewn-mobile-hTN/united-states) - [irth UtiliSphere](https://apptail.io/app/irth-utilisphere-nqcb/united-states) - [ITS Connect](https://apptail.io/app/its-connect-QSnb/united-states) - [FlowGIS Mobile](https://apptail.io/app/flowgis-mobile-uTnb/united-states) - [ArcGIS Workforce](https://apptail.io/app/arcgis-workforce-nJob/united-states) - [Sensus FieldLogic Tools](https://apptail.io/app/sensus-fieldlogic-tools-Yukc/united-states) - [Youreka Mobile](https://apptail.io/app/youreka-mobile-uxlc/united-states) - [Service Suite FieldWorker](https://apptail.io/app/service-suite-fieldworker-Kyuc/united-states) - [ITS GO](https://apptail.io/app/its-go-cfhp/united-states) ## Itron Field Tools Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/itron-field-tools-otPj/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/itron-field-tools-otPj/canada) - [India](https://apptail.io/app/itron-field-tools-otPj/india) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/itron-field-tools-otPj/australia) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/itron-field-tools-otPj/new-zealand) - [Singapore](https://apptail.io/app/itron-field-tools-otPj/singapore) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
