iVerify Basic FAQ
Is iVerify Basic free?
Yes, iVerify Basic is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is iVerify Basic legit?
⚠️ The iVerify Basic app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Doesn’t do all that much, but nice to have. Just think of it as a “HTTPS Everywhere” extension for Safari with some added perks (ie; monthly forensic scan) and the price is justified.
Seems to be neglected in some aspects though. Firstly, some sections in the guide that tell you to navigate the stock Settings app are outdated and don’t reflect menu structures in iOS/iPadOS 18, which might confuse novice users. Secondly, the news section also seems to lack the latest articles found in their website blog. Lastly, the app needs to get with the times and offer dedicated light, dark and tinted icons.
Good idea. But does not work
Unable to share data with IVerify. Good luck with customer support.
Won’t trigger forensic scan
Put an actual iOS developer on the team. If you press and hold both volume buttons and the power buttons you not only lock the screen but you automatically call emergency services. They were not happy with me. Thanks for that.
How dumb
It should have a simple way to do a scan
Can't pick up anything in threat diagnostics- I have proof
Tried to run the "once a month" threat diagnostic - except it has supposedly run 5 times this week, but it's because the files aren't being uploaded proper to them. It's on an iOS device we know the be badly compromised, running 18.2.1? How do we know? Every one of the users Apple ecosystem has been under massive Bluetooth attack. We found 4 bogus "Apple" Bluetooth .db files - said device was accessed by 1004 unique BT MAC addresses. If they can't pick that up, then as I have, just consider it good for great free tips for average users, but not as an elite or edm option for your firm. Sorry, love iVerify, but huge fail. I have another device that's suffered the same, but scan was used 20 days ago, before attack began. At least let us buy more scans to try you out. Though I highly doubt you'll get what the upload you're looking for, just like the other phone.
Can’t complete first scan
The app is apparently not designated to receive files. Therefore, I cannot share my results and view the outcome. iOS 18.
Not working on IPhone 16 Max Pro
Unable to get the forensic scan to work on iPhone 16 Max Pro. Holding the three buttons down as instructed never led to a “vibration” indicating scan began. Not sure how to get help either.
Very poor process
When you follow the directions to start a scan, you get 2 choices - power down or make an emergency call. This makes the scan FAIL. Very poor design - I see others have the same issue
It didn’t work
If you’re having trouble with pressing all three buttons at once, it’s because you’re pressing them too long. I was doing the same thing, you’re not supposed to hold them long enough to get the emergency and shut down screen. Just literally half a second press all three.
But, I struggled to get the data set to show up so that I could upload it, and I guess the upload failed yesterday. Now I can’t find the instructions on how find the data set to upload it so I guess I just can’t use this thing anymore? I think I have a misunderstanding about what it’s supposed to do, I thought it was literally going to scan for viruses but based on the screenshots and other reviews it looks like it just tells us how our phone is vulnerable, and I actually use the Bluetooth so I can’t shut it off thanks.
Can I have my $1 back this thing doesn’t work.
Seems worthless
The “protection measure” scan took an unrealistic 2 seconds. The forensic scan won’t work, the instructions tell you to hold the lock and volume buttons for .5-1 seconds which take a screenshot. If you hold for too long it takes you to the emergency/off screen. There is no support for non-enterprise customers, just a suggestion to see how you can get enterprise for your organization. Waste of $1.
