When you’re a native English reader, you can’t just turn off your English eyes. Even if you are perfectly capable of reading kana. If there is romaji I will accidentally read it AS I’m reading the kana!! No!! And there’s no need to have kana + kanji, then only kana, then romaji. Just do kana +kanji with furigana (changeable in settings) and optional romaji. Also, the daily question says I’ve learned the word before. I usually haven’t. It will also glitch most days. Overall, this app is extremely helpful for learning and practicing vocabulary. thank Not only do you have the word of the day, but you can save words to study lists and even study random words. My only complaint is that it feels like an ad plays every other time I hit a button. It's a pretty good app, with numerous grammatical examples. It’s so good to have complex sentences as well, besides the basic sentences.
