Update! Uninstalled App, rebooted the iPhone & reinstalled. The App fully reset & it’s working again.

Old review: Not surprised that an app that hasn’t been updated in e years has finally started to crash when trying to open it.

Logitech bought Jaybird & have left it to rot on the vine. It’s a shame as my Vista 2s are good earbuds for running!

Every time I try to open it, the app never gets past the loading screen and crashes. This combined with the janky “tap to control” feature of my 2s means I can’t turn off the stupid “Ambient” feature and I get to listen to every slight breeze amplified over the sound of my music.

App opens, but won’t connect to my ear buds. Ear buds still connect to my phone and play music, but I can’t change the EQ or other settings now. And no updates to the app since 2022? Did we lose another decent company to a buyout/merger???

I came from the X3/X4 generation, so the Vistas were something I had to get used to. I prefer connected buds for various reasons, but it’s unlikely JayBird will ever produce more, so it’s a moot point. 

My Vistas are good, but not nearly as loud or bassy as the X3/X4’s. They’re loud, but could be louder. 

Sometimes either bud has issues connecting to their container for charging, despite wiping down both sets of contact points (in case and on buds). I’m not sure what the issue is, but it’s frustrating. 

On both the X3/X4s and the Vistas, the right bud has problems staying in my ear, but that’s probably an anatomy issue and not on JayBird.

Lastly, and the point of this review, is the maddening inability to turn off any sort of noise cancelling on the buds. You HAVE to have the option of using either active noise cancelling or a form of “noise bypass” that lets ambient noise in… or OFF. Can I get the option to disable noise cancelling or amplification OFF entirely, please?

There’s a button combination on the buds that turns the noise cancellation/amplification on and I have randomly turned it on before on accident, which, if I had the option to disable it entirely, wouldn’t be a problem at all. 

I did not buy these for noise cancellation/amplification, I bought them for music in my ears. Please give us this option WITHOUT having to pick cancellation or amplification.

Terrible app for a premium brand. The app rarely connects to my headphones, even when the headphones are actively connected to my phone and playing music.

The buds work great. They’re Comfortable, stay in ears, and the sound is good. However, if you would like the app to open, think again buddy. 

The app just sits on my Home Screen and doesn’t open. I can’t figure out if I’m in ANC mode or not and I’d like to be able to see that. It is the software version of a paperweight.

Wish I could give this 0 stars. They make this promise that you will have this great app to do all these customized settings, and also so you can use the “find your ear buds” portion. This app doesn’t even work anymore and hasn’t for awhile. I received no response back from contacting them. If you still have the chance to exchange these earbuds for a different brand, I would. I loved these earbuds and the app, but I might as well have bought a $15 pair for the features these now have.
