Extra bass

Eq could have an extra option for more bass

Clip 4

Clip 4 not compatible with app. Should be able to do all speakers with JBL branding in the app especially if you need to update speakers every couple months. Also battery icon doesn’t show on my phone for the clip 4 but with all the other jbl speakers I’ve had it does show, not super important but was very useful to have. Kinda seems like they forgot about a few things and rushed the clip 4. Still a great speaker but a few minor things I’ve noticed.

What a joke.

Default stereo too much to ask?

Man, is this the current state of Bluetooth? Having to search for my speakers through the app every time, app tells me it can’t locate the Bluetooth signal while iOS has already been playing audio through my speakers for at least a minute before the JBL app even detect them, then if you want stereo the app doesn’t remember this, you have to wait for it to find the signal again but once you get the option to connect in “party” mode or stereo, how many times do you STILL have to click Stereo before the app finds the speakers? It keeps telling me to wait 5 or 6 times just to establish a stereo connection and this ritual is necessary every time I want to use my speakers?! Modern technology seriously can’t remember the speakers and keep Stereo as default mode? And just keeping my phone and speakers stationary in my room, the app loses the signals and speakers cut out. Or I open something else on my phone and the app quits, so there goes the stereo connection! Is default stereo mode with my speakers really that difficult to program? I’ve had to reset my speakers to factory settings numerous times too, and don’t get me started on the fleeting battery life after a couple years. Just check Amazon and see the demand for battery replacement kits at about $40 a pop.

Doesn’t work with Clip 4

This app is useless. Doesn’t work with Clip 4. Honestly the app sucks regardless- the Ultimate Ears app is better AND works with ALL their speakers. Do not recommend.

Connection issues

Have two JBL speakers and sometimes the party boost mode works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s frustrating as it’s such a great idea and it’s awesome when it works.

This isn’t progress.

Just what improvements were made in this recent app update? How hard can it be to develop wireless speakers that play in stereo that don’t require a setup process every single time? Oh, look! My phone suddenly started sending audio out to one of the speakers! I better his that blue button to enable “party” or stereo mode! Music’s coming out of one speaker and the rear link buttons are lit but the app still says it’s not connected to any speaker! I can tap open the little window to select “Stereo” play but I get kicked out to another menu on the app and have to repeat the process until the app suddenly decides it’s connected free all and lets me select “Stereo”. Every… single… TIME. Maybe it has to do with the premature deaths of the battery in one unit.
