Ich benutze die Software seit Jahren. Ich bin ihr, sie ist mir und meinen Anforderungen treu. Ich kann mir allerdings nicht erklären, warum der entfernte Mac manchmal nicht korrekt reagiert oder gar nicht. Dann hilft es, die Verbindung zu unterbrechen und sie anschließend wieder herzustellen, um normal weiterarbeiten zu können. Eine zweite Sache ist das beim entfernten Mac aufploppende Fenster, das danach fragt, ob das "Einsetzen erlaubt ist oder nicht". Wie gesagt, "kleine Macken", die fast unbedeutend zu sein.
Für mich die einzige VNC App, die gut funktioniert.
For me the only VNC app that works pretty well. I use a Citrix X1 mouse on my iPad 2024 to control a Windows 11 PC that runs ultraVNC as the VNC server. I also have an Apple magic trackpad. The later I can use to shift my wide PC screen on the smaller iPad display. A click however does not work with it.
Ok, but drag `n drop freezes
The application overall is preforming fine, but there are a few things to fix: (1) Since 11/2023: Screen freezes when attempting drag-and-drop in Finder or Outlook for Mac when remotely accessing macOS Sonoma and now also Sequoia. Vendor recommends to use fluid as a workaround which is not an option if you need the traffic to remain in the local network. (2) Apple Pencil Pro working only a few minutes in each connection (ipad Pro M4 -> Mac Mini Intel)
Funktioniert nicht über VPN
Zu wenige technische Hinweise , nutze die App seit Jahren. Im sicheren Blockiermodus mit VPN keine Verbindung.2024 es hat sich nichts verbessert, wenn JumpDesktop läuft zieht es den Akku des iPadAir in 3 Stunden auf 0 und das obwohl das Gerät aus ist. Glasswire für iPad. wäre eine Lösung den Datenklau zu stoppen.
Funktioniert leider nicht mit PopOS!
Drag and Drop habe ich leider nicht zum Laufen bekommen. Außerdem konnte mich mich mit meinem PopOS!-Server verbinden (VNC/RDP over VNC). Das klappte bei anderen Apps problemlos.

Bin wirklich begeistert…
ich verwende Jump, Desktop um meine MacBooks, hauptsächlich von unterwegs, mit meinen iPads zu nutzen.
Dies gelingt nahezu perfekt. mit Jump Desktop fühlt sich zum Beispiel mein iPad mini mit faltbarer Bluetooth Tastatur fast an, wie ein Mini MacBook.
Auch die aufgerufenen Preise für die Mac- und iPad Versionen empfinde ich mehr als fair.
Ich kann diese App wärmstens empfehlen.
Eigentlich sehr zufrieden, aber ohne ED25519-/ECDSA-Key-Unterstützung
Jump Desktop für iPadOS macht einen guten Job. Jedoch werden für VNC-Verbindungen via SSH nur die veralteten DSA- bzw. RSA-Keys unterstützt. VNC zu macOS 13+ funktioniert nur noch mit Password, da sshd mit DSA/RSA deaktivieret ist.
die beste Remotesoftware mit der ich bis jetzt gearbeitet habe.
Top Produkt, jeden Cent wert, funktioniert so gar auf dem ext. Bildschirm am Ipad Pro.
