Just Press Record

Doesn’t work for call recordings. The moment you start a call, the recording stops. I bought especially this app for this purpose. Garbage

I live in a state where it is legal for one party to record conversations. I use this to record important meetings. I use the hands-free speaker phone option on the phone and record everything on my watch.

I like this app. It is on my phone, watch, and laptop, and I am able to start a recording session without a problem on each of them. I have used this app to maintain a recording of discussions I have had in meetings to keep directives and instructions straight. The recordings sync easily, and while the transcription function is not 100% accurate, it is close enough to have a finished, edited transcription done in a very short time. The only beef that I have with the app is that on my watch, the app can be started from the Complication on the watch face a bit too easily. That, however, could just be from my clumsiness and hamfistedness.

This is one of those apps that just works. I've been using it for years on both iPhone and watch. Press a button, recordings are saved to iCloud, listen to them later. There's not much to say other than, "It just works."

Recents was useful before storing the files by week. Give me the option to sort by month and make it great again.

I had different saved files and recordings and most are now either blank recordings or are just completely missing. I don’t know if updating the app caused it or what happened but I’m disappointed with this app.

I couldn’t believe how greedy other software company’s that provide this tech were being such as Dragon Anywhere, and Speechify among others that are completely out to launch as far as understanding how much the average person has to kill them selves working in order to make the hundreds of dollars annually that those companies are asking for. So I had to give Just Press Record a good review just for allowing the general public to be able to access this technology. The speech to text tech here has many applications other than just for musicians that it’s been marketed towards here, for example I originally wanted access to this type of tech just for when I hear an interesting word in a podcast or audiobook that I’m not confident I know how to spell, I can use an app like this to help look up the meaning of the word. P.S. For those thinking I’m just giving JustPressRecord a good review, because of how horrible other company’s providing this tech are being, I have in fact tested the app out before giving them this positive feed back here by speaking a few paragraphs into the app, and so far it has flawlessly recorded my words and converted them into text without making a single mistake so far, so I am confident this app will work good enough for me, and for anyone else that could use this type of tech.

I’m writing this with a buzz of satisfaction. This app works perfectly for what I was looking for. I’m extremely pleased. One press on my Apple Watch screen and it delivers an audio recording with transcription directly to my phone. There’s also the option to review on the watch too. It’s simple and elegant. Works exactly as advertised. I’m glad I got it! Great work dev!

When I make a recording, it includes the date and time stamp for the recording. But when I send/share the recording transcript, it doesn’t include the original date/tome of my recording, which is critical for me, so the app is useless. Please include an option to include the original date/time of the transcript when I send/share it.
