Just Press Record

Eine sehr gute, simple, funktionelle App. Man drückt einen Knopf und redet drauflos. Falls man zwischendurch überlegen muss, drückt man "Pause" und macht weiter, wenn man wieder soweit ist. Zum Schluss kann man dann den diktierten Text noch editieren. And if you want to create a text in a different language, you can change the settings in no time. Highly recommendable!

Second issue, after every record is some weird text for example”congo congo..” And third issue, When using app with apple watch i have to press small icon and then big buttn to start, why not start recording instantly after little icon!

Do not buy, if you prefer to listen your recordings from you Apple Watch, because the voice is so low, that you can not here a thing even that the volume in your watch is maximum. There is not a way to put it louder. Waste of money from this point of view. After I reinstalled the app couple of times I managed to get the voice coming out straight from my Apple watch loud and clear. Do not know what went wrong at the first but now the app is working just like it shoul work. Great app, I can record easily short notes straight with my Apple watch while for example I am driving. Then afterword either listen them from my watch or syncronized iPhone or iPad. The app even writes the first words in the files, so that you can even see them from yout iPhone. Easier to find the exact recording you are looking for. Great app, very easy to use and just super for me as I need to make notes while driving. 5 stars now after I got it work.

I’m sure some people have workflows for which this app is perfect. However, the default settings and the functionality is just barely missing what would work for my circumstance (and I imagine a lot of others) My goal is to capture ideas on the run (literally). I installed Just Press Record on my Apple Watch. However, for good reason, recordings on the watch need to make it to the phone to be useful. The default is to auto delete recordings after a week. And the sync didn’t seem to be working. (Do both phone and watch apps have to be open? It doesn’t tell you this if so… and there are ways to sync the file system, such that the apps wouldn’t need to be open…) so, I lost all the recordings I’ve made. I haven’t even gotten this far, but I bet it would be nice to have a way to easily export recordings and/or transcriptions to other tools. For example, with an iOS shortcut. That would allow me to integrate it into my workflow smoothly. I’m really hoping these issues can be addressed so that I can make this app part of my toolbox!

Extremely frustrated. I’ve now lost multiple hour+ long recordings because my device’s battery ran out mid recording. I can understand why this might result in SOME recording loss but to lose the entire recording… no way… not worth the risk.

With an Apple Watch it’s quite amazing. You open the app, there’s one big beautiful red button which is so inviting. Tap it and off to the races, recording with great quality just like that. I haven’t used the transcribe feature. The syncing has always been flawless and, most importantly, thoughtless. I can’t recommend this app enough if you have an Apple Watch, it’s literally a must have for Apple Watch Just Press record is that good. Like, a must have utility for your watch. It’s just amazing. And for iPhone, if you need a super easy way to record whatever it’s the same thing as above lol. Anyway, enjoy.

I have been using this to record. It works on my Apple Watch too, and it's very handy. It automatically syncs from my watch to the app, and to the cloud. I am really happy with it. thank you.

Currently syncs with iCloud but would love Dropbox option to put in a specific location.
