Description

Just Run is a simple workout app to help you get running. I made this app to get myself off the couch and start running to get to 5K. Stick to the workout plan, and you'll be able to run 5K in 9 weeks. It really does work!

If you're already able to run 5K, Just Run also has a 6-week plan to help you get up to 10K!

WORKOUT PLANS:
- Zero to 5K: Gets you from absolute zero running experience to 5K in just 9 weeks, with three 30-minute workouts per week
- 5K to 10K: If you can already run 5K, or have finished Zero to 5K, this plan gets you to 10K in only 6 weeks

FEATURES:
- Target dates for each workout, calculated based on your progress, and optimal exercise days
- Choose from multiple trainer voices, which tell you exactly when to run and walk
- No ads! Ads are no fun, so Just Run has no ads!
- Works with music, audiobook and podcast apps - Just Run will briefly lower the volume of the other app when prompting you to run and walk, so you'll never miss a prompt
- Runs in the background. Turn off your screen, or switch to another app, and you'll still hear the run and walk prompts
- Upgrade to Premium to get more trainer voices, multiple theme options, and to support continued development of Just Run

I love this app and everything about it. I literally am so unathletic and would get winded after walking down the street. But I just finished week 4 and feel amazing and so accomplished! This app has allowed me to hold myself accountable with the every other day schedule. Most importantly it’s free. I will be purchasing the upgrade bc this app is so amazing. I decided to push myself and after completing week 4 I just kept running and ran the farthest I’ve ever ran in my whole life. Thank you to this app! Love it!!!!!! Next up is switching to the 10k program!

Great app! I was just getting back to jogging (not even running) after 20 years. I don’t like to just time myself with a stopwatch on interval running because it’s somehow not motivational. I really did need an app to do it automatically for me while I zone out and this one is perfect. Because I was starting out from couch potato, and also had an unrelated minor injury pop up that I had to take time off for, it actually took me about six months to complete the nine week program. But that’s ok! The brilliant thing about this app is it’s simple, you can start over at any time if you want, start back a couple of weeks if you want, or whatever you need to do to match your own fitness level. The app just asks once if you’re certain you want to repeat something, and on confirmation off you go! This was great for me as I was improving cardio health so I did a few of the early weeks on repeat while I made sure my heart rate didn’t get too high for my age and health. It also runs concurrently with other apps. I run my heart rate monitor app and my music app both while this app is running with zero issues. It gently reduces the volume of any other app to make the announcement when you start, are halfway, and when you finish. Then you get little confetti when you finish. Nice easy stationary visual of expected time intervals for that day’s run too. There are a lot of running apps out there and many of them are good. But I don’t need all the bells and whistles. I don’t need to share my location or share progress to social media. I just want to get out there with my headphones, get in better shape, and have a handy companion so I don’t have to get my phone out of my pocket. Well thought out app. I’m going to continue to use it as a tool while my cardio gets even better and I increase my running speed. The developer cares a lot about the app. There was a feature in it that wasn’t working quite right (I don’t remember exactly but I think if you accidentally closed the app while running, you lost your place in the run) and then they fixed it, popped out an update, and it worked perfectly. I bought the premium to support the developer because it added something really useful to my life. And note: DATA not collected!!! Yes! 10 stars!

this app is exactly what I need…I’m returning to The Run after injury & the app is helping me not be stupid & pace back in nicely….ahhh such joie de vivre! On the tech side - the simplicity & streamlined UI indicates wicked smart developer chops. I LOVE being able to change to accent - it’s like Jarvis is concierging me through the process. A zillion stars!! & thank yous
