If you are a complete beginner - this app is perfect! Justin’s course and exercises are well thought out, instructive, fun sometimes, and pedagogically solid! Perfect 5 stars!

However, if you are a professional musician (like me) or already know a little guitar beware: the app does mot let you progress at your own pace. You will need to listen and do ALL the lessons on lesson 1 in order to unlock lesson 2 etc. 

This can be more than a little tedious for a musician as you find yourself being lectured by the ever enthusiastic Justin ( Justin Here) on how to count to 4 ...

Also, curb your expectations: unless you are using (very helpful) tuner, the app does not listen to you at all, only gives you a beat and simple, midi sounding karaoke style  songs to strum your guitar against. Maybe it is too much to ask for, but technology had progressed to the point it could easily react to your playing. Not absolutely needed, but would have made this app amazing.

Still, worth a try if you are too busy to go to lessons.
