They have a point system and don’t let you read manage without throwing a million ads and suggestions in your face. Pretty sure if I want to read something else I’ll find it they made this very unfriendly to the manga reader and are just riding a coattail for money. Trash company and designer.

Viz and Shonen Jump have a great system where you pay a small monthly fee for access to their full catalogs of manga to read. This app is littered with adds and has a horrible point based system to properly read through a single series. I think it’s important to directly support artists, but for Kodansha’s catalog just read scans online.

y'know, i really liked this app cs it had the mangas i wanted to read. and i got suspended cs of taking screenshots (yes, i'm aware what i did went against the rules) and my account was suspended. isn't there a clear difference between "banned" and "suspended"? it doesn't even tell me WHEN i'll be unsuspended. now i'm pretty upset because this was the only app i could access the specific manga i was reading. anyway, can you guys just tell us when we'll be suspended next time??

I don’t know why people are complaining. The app is definitely designed to provide readers a legitimate method of viewing the latest chapters of a series in English without having to wait for a volume release. Unlike Square Enix’s “Manga Up” (which splits up chapters into multiple transactions), Kodansha’s K Manga keeps the true chapters! It is my gateway to access the latest chapters of ongoing series. I also love their campaigns, and it’s a great way to figure out which series I want a physical of. The app has definitely grown since its release and the development team definitely takes in the feedback. The promotional ticket campaigns are great.

These aren’t even your manga so I shouldn’t even be suspended just for screen shotting a manga that isn’t even yours

They banned my account for taking screenshots. Madness that they choose not to block the ability to screenshot and instead allow it and then block an account for using a feature they allow. And without former warning. I don’t have to use this app but Getting punishment for using an app makes me feel sick. I don’t know what’s in the developer’s mind.

Hilariously bad, easily the worst official manga reader.

People are just dramatic they need to learn some stuff isnt made for them.

Tbh i would rather wait and save my money so i can purchase a manga volume. I dont want to spend money on random digital chapters. I prefer viz’s apps. The subscription allows me access to their whole library. And i can buy physical copies of what i liked.
