Due to limitations in the Safari browser, Kagi cannot be set as your default search engine. Instead, this extension intercepts your request to your default search engine selected in Safari and redirects to Kagi, creating a seamless search experience. It works in Private Browsing as well.
Please note that some requests may still be sent to your default search engine due to this limitation, although the redirect will always be successful.
Kagi search is a quick, user-centric, 100% privacy-respecting search engine with results augmented by non-commercial indexes and personalized searches. It has a clean, high-performance user interface with only the most relevant results and no telemetry, no ads and no collection of private information.

Works intermittently
On some devices the extension redirects to Kagi some of the time. On some the extension redirects to Kagi even when I don’t want it to. So it’s a mix of unreliable and over aggressive.
I can’t work out how to troubleshoot this. I wish they spent less time on weird AI experiments and more time getting the fundamentals right. And I know they have their own competing browser but giving up all the integrations of Safari because they can’t make their extension work right feels exhausting.
Breaks frequently
It seems like every other day I have to reset this extension because it breaks or it updates and it breaks something else. Also, there are two versions of this extension (?) and I had to download a new one which looks exactly the same, so not sure what’s going on there.
Poor
I pay for Kagi and love my search results. When I use Kagi on my laptop, that is.
I have followed the directions to enable Kagi as an extension on Safari, but it simply doesn’t work. This is frustrating, since I pay for Kagi and it works well in the web version.
Unless Kagi finds a workaround, I’ll probably stop paying for it altogether and just use Safari on my iPhone and laptop.

Works well now!
Uninstall all old extensions and this one now works consistently again. Good work.
Works flawlessly now
There was a reliability problem with 2.0 that was quickly rolled back to a working version (as 2.1). Now, with 2.2, the new approach has been reintroduced and is working great.
Works now
The initial rollout of this app didn't work. They've since released a "new" version which works like a charm.
Breaks frequently (like now)
The extension breaks frequently on updates, whether the updates at for the app or for iOS itself. It hasn’t worked at all for me in the latest version of iOS despite being configured correctly and given the right permissions. Really frustrating as a paying customer.
Doesn’t work
Everything is enabled but it just will not work.
Can you please clean up the multiple apps?
I have no idea which one is the current and supported one and which one is the one that works. i'm playing wack-a-mole between different apps to try and make this work.
