## Kakehashi Reviews in United States

### ***** "Best 3rd Party Wanikani App"
Highly recommend this app - was using an older third party app for quite some time, and this is far superior. Developer is active in the Wanikani community and makes updates as requested through that message board. Entirely outstanding, every thanks to the dev, who seems to be some kind of wizard.

### ***** "Literally the best WaniKani app ever made"
I don’t review apps often, but this app is truly a work of art and thoughtfulness.

I had an older WK app I was using, but it just wasn’t living up to my expectations. So every few months I’d see if any new ones had been made. Each month would pass and I would be left without a new alternative.

Until I saw Kakehashi pop up. I’ve been waving an app that looked good, had great functions, and had some of the new WK dashboard and photo mnemonics.

This app delivers on all of that and then some….then A LOT, really.

It has built in news, EPUB, and music integrations and they show you kanji you’ve studied and what levels the others you don’t know yet are on.

It’s honestly a perfect app. I can’t believe how many great features there are packed in here. AND FOR FREE?! It’s a miracle!

Then you Pedro. You are going to single handily transform my Japanese journey with this app!
-- Ichbinrick, 2026-04-05

### ***** "Best WK App"
Hands down the unequivocal best wanikani app I’ve found. No need to mess with plugins and it gives far more information than the base site. On top of added features like graded news articles aimed at your current kanji level, it’s a huge asset to any student of kanji.
-- Atchyboy, 2026-03-23

### ***** "had no idea i needed this in my life"
turns out, a mobile app client for wanikani with several extra features is really nice to have.
-- sanest rikka fan, 2026-03-22

### ***** "Discovered on Reddit"
Found out about this about on the WaniKani subreddit. It’s quite streamlined and makes studying even more fun with its news and anime scene features that place recently learned words into context.
-- TransAm Exia, 2026-03-18

### ***** "Recommended!!"
Sleek UI and the constellations feature is pretty unique. The developer responds to feedback very quickly and implements suggestions just as fast. It will only get better in time and I am excited for how this app evolves.
-- is this nickname taken ?!., 2026-03-14

### ***** "The perfect companion app"
It has everything you could ever want, and didn’t know you needed. An absolute no-brainer for anyone using WaniKani. So good, if it was on the web it would be how I primarily interface with the service. Free, no ads, i mean come on. This rocks!
-- JustSomeDude55, 2026-02-03

### ***** "Amazing"
Amazing. This app is the perfect companion to WaniKani. The news and music sections are an excellent bonus for once you get deeper in the language.

A+. Must have for any Japanese student going through WaniKani.
-- Byzantine325, 2026-01-30

### ***** "The WaniKani app of my dreams"
This is a really feature rich app. I can’t believe we get to use it for free, it’s so good.
