The free version of the app allows you to test your connection and load the built-in demo patches. A one-time in-app purchase is offered if you wish to unlock the full feature set, which will allow you to: - Download patches from your amplifier. - Modify the patch parameters; includes support for all effect types; the editor also changes in real-time as you adjust the parameters on your amp. - Organize your patches into groups. Tag your favorite patches, or create a set list for a live performance. - Import and export MkI, MkII, Gen3 and GO .TSL files. - Rename and delete patches. - Write patches to the amplifier's channels - Emulate the functionality of a GA-FC pedal (even on a KATANA-50 or KATANA:GO) - Use the hotkey feature in combination with a MIDI or HID foot switch for hands-free patch and effect switching. - Access undocumented Katana features like hidden amps and multiple simultaneous effects (where supported). Love the app.. any chance of bass katana combos? -- Lnickknamesarebullcrap, 2025-09-05 ### ****- "Great Idea, Poor Execution" The concept behind Katana Librarian is excellent – a streamlined, intuitive way to manage Boss Katana patches without relying on Boss Tone Studio. Unfortunately, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. I’m using a Boss Katana Gen 3 50W and an iPhone 15 Pro Max, so hardware is definitely not the issue. Yet the app is highly unstable, crashing almost every time I try to make any edit. This makes it incredibly frustrating and unreliable, especially when quick adjustments are needed. Considering the app costs $14.99, you’d expect a far more polished and stable product. As it stands, it feels more like an unstable beta than a finished app. With some serious updates and bug fixes, this could be a fantastic tool for Katana users – but right now, it’s hard to recommend. -- Kokuzare, 2025-07-13 ### *---- "How do I get my money back" I would like to get my money back, this app is not what I thought it would be . I use VoiceOver, a screen reader, for ios, to navigate around for the the different effects. I must say that this is super valuable for me. Without this amp, I would not have understand everything an electric guitar can do. Thank you very much for the developer of this app. This is one of those things that the developer have the heart to include everybody in the product, not only to sell something. The only request I have for this app is for the developer to keep improving this app with the voice over compatibility along the way.
