Search for clues and solve puzzles in a compelling small-town drama set in the mid-1990’s. After learning of her grandfather’s untimely passing, Kathy Rain, a strong-willed journalism student, returns to her hometown for the first time in many years to pay her respects — but things are not what they seem. An air of mystery surrounds the circumstances of Joseph Rain’s death, involving unsolved investigations and disturbing behavior from the locals, driving Kathy to vow to uncover the truth for her widowed grandmother. As she follows a trail of clues he left behind, questions emerge… What was Joseph Rain really looking for that night all those years ago? What turned him into a mere shell of a man, confined to a wheelchair? What secret did a suicidal young artist take with her to the grave, and why are so many people in Conwell Springs going mad? Armed with her motorcycle, a pack of smokes, and her sharp wit, Kathy soon discovers that the truth is more dark and sinister than she ever imagined… ----- CLASSIC NOSTALGIC GAMEPLAY An homage to timeless point-and-click adventure games like King’s Quest with beautiful hand-drawn pixel art design, complete with classic 4:3 resolution. UNCOVER THE MYSTERY Use your keen intuition to discover clues, piece together evidence, and connect the dots in a mysteriously compelling narrative set in a small-town backdrop in the mid 90’s. DELETED -- Licecomb, 2025-12-17 ### *---- "TRASH" I used to love this game. Now, the bugs make it extremely annoying to play. Every task is complete for day two but I can’t leave the manipulated message for Erica. The option for me to use my inventory isn’t even available. I won’t be playing again. Don’t waste your time with this game. -- BeanNickyBarnes, 2025-01-08 ### ***** "Please make more games" I will buy any point and click adventure game you release, and I know a lot of other people will as well. Please make more -- B1210659, 2024-12-15 ### *---- "GREAT game - lot of bugs with iOS port" Game itself is great- have enjoyed playing it…but keep getting fatal crashes, freezes, or errors every few scenes. Forces constant saving, restarting, and repeating puzzles which gets annoying. Currently can’t make it past beginning of day 2 as working with the sound file on dorm room computer fatally crashes every time. -- DJG1425, 2024-02-05 ### ***** "A Mystery Delight!" I truly enjoyed this game. So captivating and fun with a super intriguing plot. Please make more!!! -- pamrenotahoe, 2023-01-12 ### ***** "Fantastic" Absolutely devoured it! Once I started, I seriously couldn’t stop. Highly recommend! -- undomielm, 2023-01-04 ### ***-- "Overlapping music" Music is overlapping with other music in the game and its very distracting. Game is great otherwise I just wish I could near the music without it being overlapped -- RobMunny, 2022-12-29 ### ***** "Gave me nostalgia for The Longest Journey" Lovable protagonist, intriguing mystery, no bugs. A great play, especially for any fellow The Longest Journey fans -- Knightrider325, 2022-10-05 ### ****- "💜Should have trigger warning..." No Spoilers but...NEEDS huge TRIGGER WARNINGS for abortion, family trauma, adoption/neglect, suicide, mental health and Religious trauma; portrays all very well. Great game, definitely an "M" rating. GOOD MYSTEY & PUZZLES are easy enough by listening to Kathy. That said PLS THINK about whether the above issues REALLY bother you B4 BUYING/PLAYING!! 1) You play the whole game as Kathy and to progress you MUST confront said issues and deal with her inner "demons". That said the game does make u think about life itself..and you face moral dilemma, just as you do in "Whispers of the Machine" 2) .MUCH more enjoyable than Blackwell series, provides @ 6-7 hr game time if u want it to. Good acting and soundtrack adds a lot... wear earbuds!!! 3)All in all thanks to devs (again) for another thought provoking point and click game:) 4) Took one star off for the things mentioned for Trigger warning. You truly experience the essence of these situations and people should know that:) 5) Also..As another reviewer said... swearing is prevalent ( plenty of gd and fbombs so be careful round little ones:) -- Tuluelda01, 2022-09-04 ### ***** "Pitch Perfect" This was an absolute knockout. The story is compelling - a nice 90s throwback a la Twin Peaks and The X Files, creepy and atmospheric, but not to the point that I found it hard to play. The voice acting is excellent across the board, and the character design is fantastic. Kathy is so fun and relatable, but definitely not a Mary Sue. The puzzles were challenging, but not frustrating. I am PRAYING that there is a sequel coming! -- Pluckysquirrel, 2022-06-02 [View all Kathy Rain reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Apps Similar to Kathy Rain - [Dexter Stardust](https://apptail.io/app/dexter-stardust-YtZb/united-states) - [Lucy Dreaming Prequel](https://apptail.io/app/lucy-dreaming-prequel-vyVc/united-states) - [Angelo and Deemon](https://apptail.io/app/angelo-and-deemon-RRVc/united-states) - [Terminal Madness Point&Click](https://apptail.io/app/terminal-madness-pointclick-Hudd/united-states) - [Not Another Weekend](https://apptail.io/app/not-another-weekend-WEkd/united-states) - [Milkmaid of the Milky Way](https://apptail.io/app/milkmaid-of-the-milky-way-Twyd/united-states) - [Lost Echo](https://apptail.io/app/lost-echo-OhDd/united-states) - [Lucy Dreaming](https://apptail.io/app/lucy-dreaming-YiOd/united-states) - [Terminal Madness - Awakening](https://apptail.io/app/terminal-madness-awakening-Rdyk/united-states) - [The Darkside Detective](https://apptail.io/app/the-darkside-detective-xuTq/united-states) ## Kathy Rain Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/united-states) - [Germany](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/germany) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/united-kingdom) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/canada) - [France](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/france) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/australia) - [Sweden](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/sweden) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/netherlands) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/switzerland) - [Russia](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/russia) - [Austria](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/austria) - [Brazil](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/brazil) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/belgium) - [Italy](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/italy) - [Finland](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/finland) - [Philippines](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/philippines) - [Türkiye](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/turkey) - [Denmark](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/denmark) - [Norway](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/norway) - [Thailand](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/thailand) - [Czechia](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/czechia) - [Poland](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/poland) - [Greece](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/greece) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/new-zealand) - [Israel](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/israel) - [South Korea](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/south-korea) - [Saudi Arabia](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/saudi-arabia) - [Singapore](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/singapore) - [Japan](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/japan) - [Croatia](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/croatia) - [United Arab Emirates](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/united-arab-emirates) - [Iceland](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/iceland) - [Malta](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/malta) - [Argentina](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/argentina) - [Luxembourg](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/luxembourg) - [Kuwait](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/kuwait) - [India](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/india) - [Peru](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/peru) - [Egypt](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/egypt) - [Pakistan](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/pakistan) - [Algeria](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/algeria) - [Dominican Republic](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/dominican-republic) - [Cyprus](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/cyprus) - [Colombia](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/colombia) - [Chile](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/chile) - [Slovenia](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/slovenia) - [Belarus](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/belarus) - [Tunisia](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/tunisia) - [Azerbaijan](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/azerbaijan) - [Madagascar](https://apptail.io/app/kathy-rain-NfFe/madagascar) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
