## KAYA Description
KAYA is your ultimate climbing guide—built by climbers, for climbers. Use KAYA to discover new climbs, watch beta videos, log your sends, and track your progress over time. Whether you're projecting your hardest grade or exploring a new area, KAYA helps you climb smarter with GPS maps, offline topos, and real-time updates from trusted guidebook authors. Connect with friends, share your beta, and celebrate every send with the most psyched community in climbing.

-Guide-
All the data, beta, and resources in one place. KAYA PRO makes outdoor climbing more accessible and convenient than ever before with verified GPS coordinates, interactive topos, and detailed climb descriptions. Official KAYA Guides are available for classic areas like Bishop, Joe’s Valley, and more — all available offline for when the service gets rough.

- Track Progress -
With thousands of gyms and climbing areas in our database, KAYA offers a superior logging experience. Videos, ascents, comments, and star ratings are all available within each climb page. If you’ve kept a logbook with another app or website in the past, you can easily upload it into KAYA through your profile page.

- Connect -
KAYA is community-focused. You’ll be notified when your buddy breaks into a new grade so you can leave ‘em a fist-bump and a comment. In-app messenger allows you to connect with other climbers, and, if your gym is on KAYA, receive new set notifications when the routesetting team finishes slinging the freshies.

- Compete -
KAYA challenges are one of the best ways to stay motivated and interact competitively with the climbing community. Go up against the world’s best or compete with your friends at your local competition.

It doesn’t stop there. We are always making changes and improvements to KAYA. Keep your updates turned on so you won’t miss a thing.

KAYA Pro Subscription: includes detailed climb info, GPS, offline mode, and training tools.

## KAYA Reviews in United States

### ****- "Love the direction this app is leading"
Lots of potential but still room for improvement. I find myself using it frequently to find beta videos for more obscure problems in my area. I am using this app now as a log similar to 8a. I like Kaya better though, since it has beta videos. Maybe someday you guys can make a separate app for outdoor climbers, because I don’t like the fact that it logs indoor problems in the same place as outdoor problems. Everyone knows indoor problems don’t count.
The only improvements I could ask for are: There’s a bug when submitting older climbs, the scroll function for the date often refreshes and I have to reselect the month, date and year multiple times before it sticks. It also doesn’t save the date occasionally and I have to go back and edit the submission. I also don’t like that it opens the shortened drop down menu when submitting an ascent. I wish it would just open the larger one so I can change the date and add the difficulty without having to expand it every time. The final pet peeve is the extra pop up warning every time you change the date! How many extra steps do I need to do a simple task! I know what I’m doing.

One other thing I wish there was a function for is an option to see what the benchmarks of an area are. Hope this is helpful!

### ***** "Every thing I wish mountain project could be"
Definitely worth it for the pins and area organizations
-- TWENTY ONE PILOTS #1, 2024-12-29

### ***** "Great app!"
Kaya Pro was a HUGE help during a climbing comp in Joshua Tree National Park! There is little to no service in the park so having all the beta useable in an offline version saved the day. Navigating from Boulder to Boulder was a breeze and also made score keeping so easy. Looking forward to taking this app to many places in the very near future!

### ***** "Love the app and the community"
So first off no app is perfect but I do appreciate them trying to improve and upgrade based on user reviews and feedback. I love the new feature where you can rewind one’s beta video or pause at certain spots bc that’s so much better than just having to re watch the full thing.

Relative to mountain project, this app is wayyy better and much more user friendly.

I also like the community you get from this app where you can meet new climbers or just simply acknowledge and bump another fellow climber!

Personally I feel it’s one of the best climbing apps out there. Keep up the great work and will see how the new outdoor guides turn out!
-- Matt Junyu Zhang, 2024-12-16

### *---- "Rough"
Continues to have really unfortunate and confusing UX. Takes forever to find what you're looking for, whether it's from filtering beta vids, finding climbs on a map, editing a send, etc. Every single flow is unintuitive
-- Knoperz, 2024-12-14

### ***** "Best Climbing App Ever!"
This app is dope. There are super high quality guidebooks for all the biggest areas and beta videos for every climb which can be sorted by height and reach. It’s been awesome to see my friends logging their climbs and getting to watch their vids. Can’t recommend it enough!
-- SchnoodleLover!, 2024-12-12

### *---- "Knock off"
This app is basically a know off of other apps and not worth spending money on.
-- Log My Climb, 2024-12-12

### ***** "fun community app"
I like being able to see what other local climber’s betas are for projects I’m working on. Nice to see a handful of gyms I frequent upload to the app.
-- Raftermath, 2024-12-07

### *---- "Pretty sorry app"
I’m an avid climber, but found this app more frustrating than helpful. Maybe try other options?
-- Benjison12564, 2024-11-09

### ***** "Awesome resource for beta"
Despite a lot of lag loading up videos, it works well and is a great repository for beta.
