I have used lots of tuning apps. This one is the easiest to use and the most accurate.
I have perfect pitch. It is always a half note down from the real note.
Settings for different instruments, cents ranges can be set, other great options. Highly recommended by a retired piano tuner and band director. Even though it does not do the octave stretching required to tune pianos well, it does everything else So Well.
I love this tuner and the fact that it has a micro range for fine-tuning. I use it on all of my instruments, guitar, mandolin and octave mandolin for many years I have used the clamp on tuners that take batteries. they’re always dead and not particularly accurate. Plus they’re hard to read with KeyTuner on your iPad, I iPad mini or phone, you have an accurate easy use always ready tuner. I’ve recommended this to many of my fellow musicians (the ones that like to be in tune).
Turn it on (open the app) select the instrument. Tune. Done Now PRACTICE and make beautiful music.
As a lifelong musician and a professional accordion tuner for the last 15 years, I have used many tuners and apps. This one is the best and it even has an accordion algorithm. Some of the more expensive tuners don’t even approach the practicality of this app because they don’t show cents! What’s up with that?! Anyway, this is an infinitely useful app. Thank you!
Like others, I have tried many other tuners. This one works for me. I tune my harpsichord with it, using A=415. It is great!
You dan’t turn this off and will set any pitch it hears from 400-500 Hz as A making this tuner useless as it keeps changing and you can’t set at 440Hz because the tuner will automatically adjust
Is this tuner picking up AI interferences.... making no sound but it picks up an A#; what is up with this? I cannot use this app as it is not showing the frequency of A at the get go. When I sing in to adjust I see change of pitch restering but in stillness it is an A#. Way weird. Heard back and it was explained to me there is a frequency in the room thst is picked up at first. This was helpful and confirmed my having been 'picking up' frequency (something empathic I have been so since childhood) so, must try to find out where it is born from... I learned the state of Hawaii had HELCO put in smart meters which may be affecting me.... it has been an undercurrent of sound since the change. So, I have changed my star rating -obviously this app is quite a 'sensitive' too. Thank you for responding to my inquiry. I'll give it a go again taking your advice.
