From the dashboard, I tap the device and acknowledge the alert. Afterwards, I tap the device again but cannot see the temperature or leak info. Obvious bug in the app. -- abandoned and disappointed, 2024-12-27 ### *---- "DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT" Ever since i had these installed they have done nothing except go off when they are not supposed to. I have been woken up in the middle of the night multiple times now by these “smoke detectors” being set off by absolutely nothing. I will be immediately removing these from my house and installing a different brand that hopefully doesn’t go off all the time for no apparent reason. -- ol2480, 2024-12-24 ### **--- "Not enough information" I have a water and freeze detector in an poorly heated part of my basement. I expect occasional freeze warnings - but the app no longer reports the temperature, so I can’t evaluate the risk! 40 degrees is ok. 34 is not! Surely the app has access to the data. -- no heat 2.0, 2024-12-23 ### *---- "App is meh" So the app is there to sell you a subscription nothing more. Having bought $700 worth of equipment and installed all at my home you would think I bought the rights to see the total AQI information in each room like on previous versions but no a big “learn more” banner is pasted over the bottom half of the AQI page. When you click on “learn more” instead of displaying the AQI info that is blurred out under the “learn more” banner it starts up a set of click through pages about why you should buy their subscription service. Who is Kidde kidding the app is strictly a revenue stream not a service enhancement. Don’t hold information hostage like this Kidde. If you are going to sell a service make it for realtime monitoring by a human in a monitoring office. But leave the AI and app monitoring as the entry level self monitoring kit that used to come with the initial install of your smoke/aqi units. Until the “learn more” is removed AND basic information shown unencumbered I cannot and will not rate the APP any more than 1 star. Every chance I get to tell someone about the dismal experience of this app believe me I will share freely with them. Right out of developer response. “"For the Kidde devices that show indoor air quality information you can see Temperature, Humidity and TVOC without a subscription. With the subscription you add Mold Rick, Thermal comfort, and Weekly reports. Thank you, Kidde Mobile Support.” For the price we pay for the equipment we should see all the metrics the equipment is capable of. Kidde is just trying to increase revenue by charging for basic info the equipment already reads. Look for my CGM for my diabetes the manufacturer gives you an entire sweet of software so you and your healthcare provider can tailor your reports by individual needs. I shall not change from 1 star review of the app. The equipment works but I won’t buy them again in 10 years. I have already contacted other companies to see about replacing the Kidde equipment. -- Nunya Bizwacks, 2024-12-20 ### ***** "New water alarm" I replaced my not so old MySpool alarms with the Kidde due to connectivity issues with my new Arris WiFi modem and router. MySpool wouldn’t connect after numerous attempts and calls into tech support. I ordered the Kidde Water and Temp alarm and connected it to my WiFi in a few minutes. Throwing 3 MySpool alarms away. Thank you for a great experience. Mikey V. -- Mikey V V, 2024-12-19 ### *---- "Alarms are absolute trash" Installed 2x smart and 5x normal alarms in my rental about 2 - 3 months ago. My tenants are about to move out because of the false alarms. I’ve finally had enough and I’m removing all of them tomorrow and destroying them with my sledgehammer. I’m replacing the smart ones with nest and the normal with any other brand. I will add the I periodically blow compressed air through them. Doesn’t change a thing. Edit: i followed through and the kiddies are in pieces. Replaced with another brand and it’s good. -- snuff15e, 2024-12-13 ### **--- "Works but is as heavy" The app works just fine, but the constant up-sell options make it challenging to use. Put the option to add upgrades somewhere else and not as a pop-up every time I open the app. -- Trying13846, 2024-12-07 ### **--- "Very sensitive" It seems one of the three smoke/carbon monoxide detectors we have on each floor goes off several times very early in the morning (2:00 am or later) a month for no reason. It’s very frustrating to be woken up to false alarms every time. The alarm goes off for smoke/fire and there is nothing to cause that in our home. They also constantly go offline and our wifi is working. Not happy with this purchase -- Zggy star 21 21, 2024-12-06 ### *---- "Quick start" App needs to be a lot more user friendly giving pop up step by step instructions if device goes off line. Too much trouble each time I loose the WiFi connection. Looking at other options for home fire safety and security. -- Nagoyax, 2024-11-26 [View all Kidde reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Kidde In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Advanced Home Health - Annual | $19.99 | | Advanced Home Health - Monthly | $1.99 | ## Kidde Discovered Keywords - water air - kiddo日程表 - monitor-io - kiddo app - t smartwifi - kidde ## Kidde Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/kidde-nvmg/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/kidde-nvmg/canada) - [Jamaica](https://apptail.io/app/kidde-nvmg/jamaica) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
