## Kids App Qustodio Description
Kids App Qustodio is the companion app to Qustodio Parental Control App. Please only download this app to a device being used by a child or teen.

How to get started
1. Download the Qustodio Parental Control App onto your own device (usually your mobile phone or laptop). 
2. Then download this Kids App Qustodio onto any of your child’s devices you want to monitor. 
3. Together, the two apps allow you to seamlessly manage your child’s daily screen time allowance on linked mobile, tablet, or desktop devices.

Features include:
• Daily screen time limits set by the Parent App.
• Website, search and app usage monitoring on the child’s device.
• Website blocking and category blocking (block games, porn, gambling, and lockout unwanted content) on the child’s device
• Location tracking of the child's device
• Safe search on the child’s device
• Unsupported browser blocking on the child’s device
• Advanced reporting provided to parents
• Real-time alerts sent to parents

Kids App Qustodio for iOS and macOS is password protected and cannot be uninstalled from a child’s device without parental permission.

Important notes for users
- The Kids App Qustodio for iOS install process will ask you to install a special MDM profile and accept special permissions in order to control the internet traffic on the device. This profile can be removed or disabled by you whenever you want. Instructions for installing, uninstalling, and configuring are on our help page.
- When connecting to the internet a VPN symbol will appear on the top of the screen. The VPN connection can be disabled temporarily when needed in the Family Portal or by logging into the Kids App Qustodio on your kids' device.
- Continued use of GPS running in the background for the Family Locator feature can dramatically decrease battery life.

Hi I’ve had this app for about a year now and it’s honestly always annoyed me but these past like 3 months it’s been extremely annoying. My mom blocks apps on my phone and I’m okay with that I understand that but if she unblocks it, it messes up the whole app. For example whenever I try watching instagram reels eventually it just says “we’re sorry, but something went wrong please try again”. Like what do you mean something went wrong. Maybe it’s my
phone but I literally can’t access instagram even when it’s unblocked by the app. Also, it has random glitches from time to time. For example my phone randomly can’t send messages or the apps act as if I have no wifi. Please fix this 😭

the screen time that qustodio says is different than what my iphone says, so when i’ve been on youtube for 50 minutes of my 2 hour screen time, it locks me out instead of letting me get a full two hours in, also it hides youtube comments and most videos and there is no way to remove that without removing the youtube screen time completely

I’m 14 years old almost 15 and I think it’s useless to have this. First of all I pretty much know what’s out there, I’ve seen porn I’ve seen many things. It’s annoying because it’s like whenever my dad texts me it’s either because of screen time or going on my phone before I go to sleep. Another annoying thing about it is the vpn, every time it’s turned on I cannot access the internet at all, therefore I’m forced to turn it off. And speaking of turning it off, it’s so easy to bypass the security. If my dad didn’t constantly check the app, I would probably get away with it. I don’t know who had the idea of this app, but you could’ve done anything else. A game, video watching site, anything. It’s crazy because I have a job and I still get monitored as if I’m a little kid. When I become an adult and if I have kids, I’m not going to torture my kids like this.

For some reason I feel like it is a virus because it kicks you off of what ever you’re on also it doesn’t save your progress in that app. and it is also annoying because first it kicks you off the app, second when you are at the Home Screen it says “YOUR TIME IS UP COME BACK HER at whatever it tells you to”, third it is supper dumb because you literally can swipe up and put in the password to get back in.

I’ve had this app on my phones and iPad for over 4 years now. I understand that monitoring and having some restrictions on kids/ teens phones is a necessity these days even though almost all of my friends don’t have any kind of restrictions like this.. I’m 16 years old and will be 17 in the spring though my parents aren’t as strict with the way they use this app on me it’s become more of a punishment/ enforcement app for them. If any of my actions or behaviors they don’t like or agree with they’ll take their phone out right in front of me with a smug grin and with a push of a button my phone is useless basically a brick. Any back talk my phone gets locked down. One time at a family function my cousin was trying to talk to me and I didn’t hear him bc I was reading something and my dad caught me not paying attention and decided he’d pull a funny one and he locked down my phone with majority of my family watching this whole interaction. I was completely embarrassed and humiliated especially since some of my cousins are close to my age and don’t have any parental controls on their phones. It makes me feel like I’m younger than them or inferior. My phone also automatically locks during school hours, bedtime and homework time after school so I will focus better. I have ADHD and my parents say I need this app to help control my impulses and more importantly to help make me focus. They told me when I was starting high school that if I went back on my ADHD meds every day which I hate taking they’d lessen the blocks from Kidslox. I went back on all my strong meds and instead of loosening my restrictions they increased my settings. Now they say that I need both the Kidslox and my adhd meds together to better help me focus. I’ve tried deleting the mdm profile and it won’t go away. I’m feel like I’m literally trapped and my phone is fully under their control. I’m sick of being one of the only kids in my school with this app and it’s so embarrassing when my phones locked and I’m asked where are all my apps. As an older teen we need more privacy and this completely invades our privacy and any decision making me feel like a young child that’s not trusted.. If I can figure it out I’m deleting this stupid app and the profile it installed on my phone asap.

I can’t really do anything every time I like keeps on glitching and stuff like that it’s the worst app ever one star I really hate it this dumb app stupid app yes Ik but like every time I am with a call with my friends it always turns off yes I get it. It’s a protection but like it’s too overprotective like at least just take my phone away they already said no for not putting any restrictions so sorry for giving you a bad report but like it’s true🙃 but I do like it too because the block stuff that I’m supposed to watch and I don’t wanna get brain white and watch all those bad stuff. As a parent who grew up with this app I do not recommend it. With this app I lost all of my sense of trust for my parents. I understand if you use this app because you kids already have bad history with internet freedom but if you’re doing it out of the blue then rethink your life decisions. This app is great for five year olds, but when your seven plus, it’s terrible. Parents, ask yourselves this. You are forty, fifty, maybe even sixty, so you don’t have really any idea why we kids are online all day. It’s because we grew up around it, and before you click out of this review, think about it. You could make the excuse that your child needs to be protected, but that’s just what it is, an excuse. Your child needs to learn what it’s like lot be on the online world, because whether you like it or not, their world eventually is going to have to revolve around the computer or whatever screen time. “Well, they’re just playing video games on their thing, that’s not really important”, you may say. It is though. It’s what they like, and it may actually give them good friends and learn how to make friendships. You may think they are none social, and have no friends, but online, they could have many, many friends. Also, when you stalk what they are doing twenty four seven, they’ll learn that they can’t trust you. If they grow up without knowing what they should know, because they can’t trust you, they will not know what to do when they grow up. Some of my friends who have had this app have rebelled, and hate their own parents. Think about what you do, parents, or they will hate you for it.

this app takes away my internet connection and always breaks. i can’t do anything on my phone so i’m isolated from my friends. my me-ntal health is in shambles and this is driving me to sui-cid-e i can’t even get help with my men-tal health because my parents don’t believe what me-ntal health is.

I paid for this app. I was charged $ 105.99. 
For the Quatodio Complete+Care 1yr. According to their website, I should get “unlimited devices protected.”
But I am not. 
I go to the help center - it requires a login.
It says “you must have a Quatodio Premium account to send a request.”
I use the exact information I use in order to log in to the app, but it won’t let me log in. This app is an absolute rip-off - it needs to be taken off the App Store. I just paid $100 only for it not to work. Seriously, ban this app.

yet within the app i keep getting the same prompt to upgrade to premium…

* Qustodio Complete+Care 1-year subscription
* Amount: $99.99
* Total amount paid: $105.99

**Issue:**
Despite the subscription, I am unable to add a second device to my account. I consistently receive the following message when attempting to add a second device:

“It appears that you have reached your device limit. To proceed, remove an existing device or visit the Parents App to upgrade your plan.”

Additionally, I am frequently receiving promotional emails for upgrading to the premium plan.

**Request:**
I am requesting a refund for the subscription and the removal of the app from the App Store. I paid for a service that I am not receiving, and I am being repeatedly solicited to upgrade to a premium plan. This situation is unacceptable and constitutes a breach of contract.

This app works great for parents seeking to keep their children safe. This app has one massive issue that turns it into a nightmare. Qustodio filters websites by routing your phone through their servers before depending on your restrictions sending your connection to your desired website… this is called a VPN. There is one problem with Qustodio’s servers that turns this app into a dumpster fire, QUSTODIO SERVERS ARE SLOWER THAN COMPUTERS FROM THE 1900s. I’ve tried switching between AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and have connected to many different WiFi networks, this problem persists everywhere. You can test this by going to settings > general > VPN & Device management > VPN > Qustodio RVPN turn off “Connect On Demand” go back and turn off “VPN Status” now quickly load say YouTube.com how fast is it loading? Now, if the VPN Statis didn’t yet turn on by itself turn it on again. Is YouTube now loading?

this app is fine, got it because I need to spend less time on my phone. HOWEVER the app has these glitches where it will  let me see my apps but won’t let them load. At first I thought it was just an update on my phone or the physical app it’s self but now it’s been constant and reoccurring. I’ve seen this issue in other people around me who have this app and other people in these reviews. This app overall has messed up my phone and caused a lot of issues.
