## Kinderkrebs APP Mannheim Description
In der Quadratestadt kümmert sich die „Deutsche Leukämie-Forschungshilfe – Aktion für krebskranke Kinder – Ortsverband Mannheim e.V.“ seit 1979 um betroffene Kinder und ihre Angehörigen. Der Verein ist Anlaufstelle für Familien aus Mannheim und der Metropolregion Rhein- Neckar – von der Südpfalz bis Südhessen. 
Wir sehen es außerdem als eine besonders wichtige Aufgabe an, Fördermittel für die Forschung bereitzustellen, damit durch medizinische Erkenntnisgewinnung einmal alle Kinder die Chance bekommen, gesund zu werden.


Mission

-> Wir wollen die Behandlung von Kinderkrebserkrankungen und die psychosoziale Betreuung der Kinder verbessern:
-> Wir fördern die Grundlagenforschung
-> Wir sorgen für eine optimale Ausstattung der Kinderkrebsstation am Klinikum Mannheim.
-> Wir unterstützen Fortbildungen für Ärzte und Pflegekräfte.
-> Wir beraten und helfen Familien mit krebskranken Kindern.
-> Wir finanzieren 10 langfristige Projekte wie z.B. unsere Wunschfee, Rosys Kids Corner und die Klinikclowns.
-> Wir sind zuverlässige Ansprechpartner für die betroffenen Familien, der Kinderkrebsstation 31.4 und für unsere Unterstützer.
-> Wir tragen dazu bei, dass sich auch in Zukunft die Behandlung von Krebserkrankungen bei Kindern verbessern kann.
-> Wir sind rein spendenfinanziert.
