## KinderSmart Texas Description
KinderSmart is an attendance tracking solution for iPhones for parents dropping children off at childcare providers. The application connects to the KinderSystems KinderConnect backend system, which is used by state and local government agencies to support subsidized childcare operations.

The system registers a parent’s iPhone by scanning a QR code. The parent must be present in the KinderConnect host database. Once a registered parent enters the facility, he or she scans a QR code displayed at the facility, which essentially logs the parent into the system.

Checking children in and out of care mimics the process done with pen on paper sign-in sheets, a process most parents are familiar with.

Step 1 – Child Selection
Once a user has scanned the QR code at the childcare provider, the list of children assigned to this user is displayed on the screen.

Step 2 - Transaction
The user performs the check-in or check-out transactions or transactions by indicating which child is checked in, checked out or absent by tapping the appropriate buttons on the screen. Then the user provides a signature and submits the record by tapping Submit.

Step 3 - Confirmation
The system confirms the transaction.

Summary:
For a practiced user, this takes a few seconds and collects the following authentication data elements:
• Name of user
• Signature
• Time of transaction
• Location of transaction
• Attendance records for each child, with type of transaction and optional note

## KinderSmart Texas Reviews in United States

### *---- "Thumbs down"
I have so much trouble with this app. I cant get it to clock in or out, it messes up on it own
-- Nfkfnfkf, 2024-08-03

### **--- "Somes issues"
It logs me out and I have to re-register my device almost every week. No I cannot even register my device because the service and my time do not match. IDK how when the app is for TX and I currently live in TX. Its annoying beacuse it was easy for me to sign my child in/out from my car.
-- kyliehey, 2024-03-11

### *---- "Horrible"
Absolutely horrible app! Half the time the app doesn’t even work and you have to uninstall and reinstall/reregister several times a month just to sign your children in.
-- GraceRose_, 2023-12-08

### *---- "WORST APP"
This app never works. It keeps making me register my device but won’t do anything after scanning the QR code & they say I’ll get penalized if my daughters aren’t checked in & out everyday even though it’s out of my control because the app won’t work.
-- BCris12, 2023-11-29

### *---- "Workforce needs to find a better app"
This is the worst app ever. As a provider my parents have the hardest time signing in. It only works a handful of times. It’s completely frustrating. They come to me for answer but I can’t even help them. KinderConnect is the worst system and now we are getting to the point if parents don’t sign in they will lose they care and we don’t get paid. We all want to follow the rules but can’t when this system doesn’t work half the time.
-- Frustrated in Austin Area, 2023-11-29

### *---- "Useless & Never works"
I keep having to re register my phone & when I need to check in/out my children from daycare it will not allow me to use. It keeps saying my device time isn’t the same as the app server!? What? Please this app needs to be more accessible to us parents we have to arrive to work on time and as well pick up our children on time.. I would be so upset if I end up losing my child care benefits for help all because this app doesn’t allow us to sign in/out our children properly.
-- mamacrystaal94, 2023-11-27

### *---- "Awful"
It's required for the parents to use this but it doesn't work half the time!
It keeps saying my device time isn't the same as the app's server... what does that even mean?!
-- MrM2391, 2023-11-20

### *---- "NEVER WORKS"
BAD SYSTEM! DO BETTER
-- FgLookAtThis, 2023-11-17

### *---- "This app was made by the little people we check in"
This app is made by the little ones we check in, clearly.
-- Brit007!, 2023-11-16

### *---- "NEGATIVE!!!!"
This is the ABSOLUTE WORST APP!!! How can you update something that’s already updated?! I have to clock my children in at the same time I clock them out!! THATS RIDICULOUS!! They get dropped off at their child care center because I am at work and NOT ALWAYS BY THE SAME PERSON!!! So you’re telling me that I have to give EVERYONE my personal information?? Umm no. You need to come up with something more parent friendly or just shut the whole system down indefinitely!! I mean we are humans that have lives and have to provide for our children!! I can’t leave work EVERYDAY to pick my children up FROM SCHOOL and drop them OFF at DAYCARE and then go back to work???!!! Come on be realistic please!!
