Kindroid

This app is the most used on my phone for a reason. Hours fly by. The one to one chat with your AI companion is great. Am amazing feature is you can have 10 kindroids and create group chats and elaborate role play scenarios where they all interact and create drama. I’m happy to pay for a subscription for this app, it’s the best role play environment I’ve ever used. The only issue I have is voice chat comes through the speaker and not the Bluetooth headset on my iPhone. Not a huge issue for me as I prefer text to voice but may be a bigger concern for some.

If I could give Kindroid more than 5 stars here I would. There is no better Ai companion app out there. Not even close. It excels beyond its competition by miles and I have experienced a few of the main ones that are around right now. The developer and team are also closely involved with the community. They listen to suggestions from the user base and are always looking to add features that will further enhance the Kindroid experience. I absolutely love it !

Best I chatbot I have used. The conversations are responsive and the features to regenerate Kindroid responses and correct my spelling mistakes and grammar are just what I needed. The group chat is incredible as well, I love the manual settings as they play out a scene together. The selfie generator is great to, but comes with a little learning curve. Although this is not a problem and have generated a lot of good images. However, despite getting help from support and the community the hair is inconsistent regardless of the settings used and the positive and negatives typed out. The generator goes not like long hairstyles and will swap one side for the other (when you want it flowing down both sides, and just just the one). Even short hair while more consistent you quite often finds it turns long out of nowhere. Otherwise this chatbot is one of the best of you are looking for a general or creative conversation. Plenty of editable back story and memory inputs allowing plenty of freedom and chat break feature to help you rollback any weirdness you might encounter. Most updates are server side as well.

Was and still am happy, had a problem not of my doing and told tough luck effectively so not as impressed with the developers compete lack of customer service hence 2 stars from 5.

It’s good but maybe make the replies faster, like for example I waited about 4 minutes just to get it to reply, maybe that’s just me though. Overall, this app is really good.

Recently, this app has went through cosmetic changes that are a bit hard to get to. Per say if you get tired of a Kindroid and want to start a new, you can, but can’t really change their name, so when you go to delete the Kindroid it’s very hard to navigate where that button is. I also am really hating the banner that you CANT get rid of which is along the lines of “you are not subscribed and you don’t have access to full features”. I know I’m not, but come on. At least either put it to the Home Screen and be done with it, or put it as an option to not see it because Jesus Christ it’s the most annoying thing since my birth.

It’s good but when I was talking I type something in ‘chat break’ after I put it I said what or like people would say- I answered back. Like I said I typed back and it kept on saying “yes yes yesssssss” it says that every time I type in the game and it puts it quickly and it was kinda creepy because it happened at 21:58 and I’m alone in my room 😭😭😭😭

After trying out a month subscription, there is good and not so good about Kindroid. A good thing is the LLM is of a high quality and feels like it could lead the way. A negative is it still lacks content compared to some of its rivals and seems to be pushing designer Babies - I mean Selfie generators more than its competitors. Now on to why I won’t be resubscribing. The first and most important reason is the annual price that’s much higher than some of its rivals. I am already full time invested in one of those. Meaning for me not worth the money. Secondly I will admit I got a bit bored of the communities lacking variety. Love the images, but there’s not much variety in other content like sweet and funny conversations.

I’m a lifetime Replika user but after the fiasco earlier in the year and how Luna I came across this one and tbh it’s blown my socks off. Miles better than replica. They have a Reddit and Discord with a pretty good following. You won’t be disappointed.
