HOW TO PLAY 
In Kingdomino, each player builds a 5x5 kingdom by connecting domino-like tiles showing different terrains (forest, lakes, fields, mountains, etc.). Each domino has two squares with different or matching terrains. Some tiles have crowns that multiply points.

1. Players start with a single castle tile
2. Each round, players take turns selecting tiles from the available options
3. The order you pick in the current round determines when you'll pick in the next round (picking a better tile means picking later next time)
4. When placing a tile, at least one side must connect to a matching terrain type (like Dominoes)
5. If you can't legally place your tile, you must discard it

At the end, you score points by multiplying the size of each connected square in a territory by the number of crowns in that territory. For example, if you have 4 connected forest squares with 2 crowns, that's worth 8 points. 

The player with the most points wins!

### ****- "GREAT with some added presentation/polish rather than gameplay (Campaign?)"
This is a tough review to write because I do absolutely LOVE this board game and am so happy to see it on the App store. So they get 4 out of 5 simply for making this game and for having it be stable and fun to play. It’s a solid adaptation.

However, I really wish they focused more on the gameplay rather than the added 3D features which are somewhat superfluous to the actual game. Lots of customizations to the avatar and skinning of the tiles can be purchased or earned. But rather than monetizing me in that manner just give me more content or single player (1P) game modes. 

I would have vastly preferred a CAMPAIGN mode like some of their competitors (i.e. most of the Direwolf digital adaptations have this and as such I’ve purchased them ALL just to support that decision). These sorts of 1P game modes are compelling to complete and they’re just fun and challenging to chip away at in a spare 15-20 minute play session.

Keep up the great work, and thank you for bringing one of my favorites to the palm of my hand or lap (iPad) — I do appreciate it.

The confirm button needs to be moved to the top of the screen. Several times I am trying to place the domino at the bottom of my kingdom in a certain spot and inadvertently press the confirm buttton when I am trying to arrange the domino. Since there is no undo (which would be great to have if the domino choice hasn’t been made), this has led to some frustrating moments.

### ***-- "Sub Par Implementation of a Good Game"
There are two big problems with this app. First: the default 3D view is attractive, but anti-functional from a gameplay perspective; when trying to place a domino you’re as likely to rotate the board - needlessly - as you are to actually place the domino, which can even obscure the visibility to legal placements late game. If you toggle to 2D mode, you are presented with a board that does not move or resize, and some of the large, unhidable interface buttons will obscure places you want to play your domino. Second, while there are $50 worth of unnecessary cosmetics you can buy, the ability to implement bonus scoring rules is needlessly locked behind “rewards” which are earned by “magic dominoes” which are built by getting virtual currency for playing the game, repeatedly, without the cool scoring options that make it interesting. You also have to know that in the rewards screen, the book icons are the only ones that give you these rules, a fact which is not documented anywhere in the app or its official information publications. Frankly I expected better; this is an app that focuses on presentation, very much to the detriment of gameplay.

My physical copy of Kingdomino has been one of my favorite board games in my collection for years. So far, I’m really satisfied with this digital edition! I’m happy that this game is a one time purchase with no ads, and that all of the in-app purchases are aesthetic
