INSTANT GRADE
Kino comes packed with pro color presets by experts like Stu Maschwitz, Sandwich Video, Evan Schneider, Tyler Stalman and Kevin Ong. With one tap, you can shoot video with cinematic, film-like color by selecting a Grade preset. With Instant Grade, you don’t have to apply it later or do any editing steps: Kino just saves the processed video for you, ready to share.

The Kino team has a free series of lessons prepared you can dive into right away to learn filmmaking with the app. Start out with our simple recommended settings and enroll in a lesson plan to get lessons emailed to you that are easy to follow and let you unlock every feature of the app to use for making better videos.
PRO TOOLS
Kino’s simple interface does not mean it lacks in powerful pro tools. Start out with automatic exposure with EV adjustment and AE and WB lock, or drop into full manual mode with shutter speed, angle and ISO adjustment. Compose a shot with the grid with built in level, check exposure with the RGB waveform, and pull focus with focus peaking. Kino can store your recordings in Files instead of Photos for better and easy shot management, and even features a screen lock to prevent inadvertent taps messing up your shot. Set custom recording settings (like 4K 60FPS Apple Log ProRes422HQ on iPhone 15 Pro) or get started with presets for flexibiltiy.
BEAUTIFUL INTERFACE
Thoughtful touches are abound in Kino: from a screen-wide telltale ring to show you are recording, to beautiful custom typography throughout with our own bespoke fonts, Kino balances beauty and simplicity with flexibility and control for users of any skill level.
AUTOMOTION
Get cinematic motion like in feature films. Introducing: AutoMotion. Kino biases exposure towards a 180° shutter speed by default. If you land in this sweet spot, and available light supports it, the ‘Auto’ label turns green — showing you are in the sweet spot for great cinematic motion. Bright day out? Pop an ND filter on your iPhone and don’t worry about adjusting manual settings: Kino will take care of prioritizing shutter angle so you can just shoot and get great results.
LUT FRIENDLY
One of the powerful aspects of Kino is being able to download new looks from your favorite creators or your own making. Author .cube LUT files in Pixelmator Pro, Davinci Resolve, or other apps (up to 33x33) and open them in Kino with a tap.
TRULY PRIVATE

Pls fix LUTs issue

Tried to import several different LUTs that work perfectly fine on other apps could not import one single LUT. Like the app but please fix the LUTs issue. Thx

Momentan (noch) nicht auf iPhone 14 Pro zu gebrauchen

Version 1.0: Das ruckelnde Interface ist durchdacht, allerdings gibt es Probleme hinsichtlich der Qualität der Aufnahmen. Unter „Bildstabilisierung“ stelle ich mir auch etwas anderes vor. Die Apple-Kamera-App ist da um Längen besser, genau wie andere Apps wie die jahrelang von mir (auch) deswegen gescholtene DJI-App oder ProCamera. Die sind hierbei aber alle jeweils drei Nasenlängen voraus - mindestens. Sollte die App so bleiben, hätte ich mir wohl besser einen leckeren Eisbecher für das Geld gegönnt… Version 1.02: Schon besser, allerdings funktioniert beim 14Pro immer noch keine Bildstabilisierung beim Modus 4k-60fps-HDR-HEVC, obwohl sie eingeschaltet ist. Sollte mit der App generell nicht möglich sein, wäre zumindest ein Hinweis vonnöten, dass das nur mit 30fps geht. So ist es immer noch eine enttäuschende Leistung… Version 1.03: Nach wie vor keine Bildstabilisierung im oben angesprochenen Modus, aber hey, dafür ein neuer Bug: Aufnahmen lassen sich nicht löschen. Herzlichen Glückwunsch, liebe Programmierer. Der Eisbecher wäre definitiv die bessere Wahl gewesen… Version 1.05: Einige Bugs sind behoben, aber einer ist für mich immer noch vorhanden und von zentraler Bedeutung: Das Vorschaubild suggeriert 4K-60-HDR-HEVC-stabilisiert, das Ergebnis ist dann aber nicht stabilisiert, also verwackelt. Was für eine Mogelpackung. Running Gag: Ich geh lieber ein Eis essen…

Fantastic App for filming on the iPhone

Kino looks pretty, is easy to use and a ton of fun to use. The only larger point of criticism I have is that you can't switch between the lenses once you've started recording a video. If this were possible, the app would be even more versatile. Overall though, I totally recommend it!

Eine Katastrophe

Auf meinem 14Pro gibt es mit der App bei 4K60p keinen Ton. Habe ich leider zu spät bemerkt und konnte nicht mit der Kamera App von Apple erneut aufnehmen

Viel Lärm um nichts

Läuft noch nicht ganz rund. Die Bedienung ist nicht sehr flüssig (wie der Wechsel der Linsen), es hakt sehr. Nervig: Die Gitterlinien müssen jedesmal erneut aktiviert werden.

Nicht das gelbe vom Ei

Leider nichts besonderes und die Familienfreigabe funktioniert auch nicht. Mir wurde 2 mal der Preis von 22,99 Euro und dem Familienmitglied auch nochmals 22,99 Euro abgebucht. Also 68,97 Euro insgesamt. Das habe ich bei  auch noch nicht so erlebt und habe eine Rückerstattung beantragt.

Kaum Funktionen…

… und nur ein paar schlichte Filter, die man nicht braucht. Dafür sind zehn Euro schon zu viel. Sorry!

Bitrate zu niedrig

Die wohl schönste und am besten zu bedienende Pro-Kamera-App. Leider fehlt aktuell noch viel. Sie ist zunächst einmal auf reines Video beschränkt (keine Zeitraffer) und ich kann auch keine Presets für eine Schnellauswahl abspeichern. Jedenfalls nicht so, wie ich sie im Alltag bräuchte, um schnell zwischen 1080p/120 (für Zeitlupen) und 4K/30 (normale Aufnahmen) umschalten zu können. Das größte Problem ist aber, dass die Bitrate der Aufnahmen nicht wählbar und auch nicht hoch genug ist. Das sorgt dafür, dass Aufnahmen in der Natur eigentlich nicht möglich sind. Es entstehen einfach sofort Artefakte (es wird pixelig) sobald viele Pflanzen, Blätter etc. im Bild erscheinen und sich im Wind bewegen. Die Bitrate kommt da nicht mit und das Bild wird pixelig. Ist bei meinen Testaufnahmen sofort passiert, obwohl gar nicht sooo viel los war im Frame. Ändern lässt sich das nicht. Filmic ist zwar keine empfehlenswerte App mehr, nimmt in der höchsten Einstellung aber mit 120 MBit/s auf und damit OHNE solche Artefakte, egal, wie viel sich im Bild bewegt. Für mich ist die App daher nicht nutzbar, weil ich nun mal in der Natur filme, aber nur Pixelbrei bekomme. Was wirklich gut gelungen ist, ist das Interface von Kino. Ich habe selten eine derart gut bedienbare Pro-App erlebt.

Buggy on iPhone 13 Pro Max

The interface, luts and camera settings are really nice but the app is very slow, laggy and stuttering on my iPhone 13 Pro Max (256 Gb). I really hope the developers can make the experience smoother.

Es kommt auf dem iPhone 13 mini zu Abstürzen

Ich hatte es heute installiert und direkt getestet. Nach dem Start einer Aufzeichnung dauerte es nur wenige Sekunden bis die App zunächst ruckelte und dann komplett abstürzte. Die Batterie des iPhones ging in dieser Zeit fast schlagartig von 97 auf 84 runter. Vielleicht kommt noch ein Fix. Die App sieht gut aus, ist aber derzeit für ältere Modelle mit Vorsicht zu genießen
