As a KiwiLink user, you will be introduced to dozens and dozens of students who share classes or majors with you. You will be able to read about their personalities, their classes, their majors, their clubs, and MORE! Just like that, you will be able to befriend lots of study buddies.
You simply tap the green checkmark add someone as a friend, that person accepts the friend request, and BOOM - it’s time for you to start talking to this new study buddy about computer science or about psychology or about pre-med or whatever!
KiwiLink is truly a tool for enhancing social academics at the UW. Now, more than ever, we are in need of a study buddy tool that caters towards solving anti-social-academics at the UW. After all, most UW students will be attending their UW classes by using Zoom and other online tools. As a result, we see that many UW students are having trouble maintaining good grades and maintaining good, academic-friendships. Thankfully, KiwiLink is built to address ALL of these pressing issues.

- Upload a profile picture (if you want to) so that people know what you look like
- Meet potential friends who also attend UW
- Meet potential friends who share a major with you
- Meet potential friends who share a minor with you
- Meet potential friends who share classes with you
- Meet potential friends who share clubs/RSOs with you
- Swipe through different profile cards to view different people
- Go to “Explore” page to view all sorts of random UW people
- Go to “For You” page to view users who share majors/classes with you
- Go to “Friend-Requests” page to accept friend requests from users who want to befriend you
- Chat with your friends
- Send photos to your friends
- Create group-chats with your friends (form study / chat groups)
- Block friends who are being annoying or menacing
- Unblock friends if you blocked them on accident
- Report abusive or offensive content
- Report abusive or offensive users
- Report people who have breached community guidelines
- Edit your profile (add or remove classes, add or remove majors, add or remove RSOs, edit bio, change profile pic)
