Klima is free to download. After calculating your personal carbon footprint, you can offset your emissions by funding on-the-ground climate projects with a monthly offset plan. The price of your offset plan is personalized and based on your footprint calculation. If you decide to offset, payment for the total monthly fee will be charged through the payment method you selected at the time you confirm your purchase. Once purchased, refunds will not be provided for any unused portion of the term. Offset plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the monthly period. There is no increase in price when renewing. You can manage your plan and disable the automatic renewal at any time via the app settings. Pretty but oversimplified and ineffective
This is not likely to be downloaded by people who need to change their behaviour and for those that do download it, it’s oversimplified to the point of it being useless. The diet & travel calculations are based on very little input and you don’t select the transport mix. There is no mention of family size that you’ve directly created (ie. making other humans is a huge load on your footprint - it’s not good enough to ignore this and treat them like a separate calculation. Population is critical, especially in wealthy over consuming countries). It’s pretty and the UI is nice so it’s got that going for it.

Einmal durchklicken um grob deine CO2 Emmissionen zu schätzen und dann geht’s ab zum registrier und Bezahlprozess, an dem auch kein Weg vorbeiführt.

Ich soll monatlich 28€ bezahlen damit ich CO2 einspare? Das bring nichts.
Leider keine Tipps um Klimafreundlicher zu werden
Es wird vor der Registrierung suggeriert dass es Tipps zum reduzieren von CO2 gäbe. Leider handelt es sich „nur“ um eine Spendensammlung für Umweltprojekte. Die CO2-Berechnung ist sehr sehr sehr grob und scheint nur zum Schein programmiert zu sein….
Ich wurde aus der App geworfen…
… und kann mich nicht mehr anmelden! Es kommt jedes Mal die Meldung das etwas schiefgelaufen sei…

Die beste Klima App
Die schönste App für den Zweck. Man hat nicht nur die Möglichkeit seinen CO2 Fußabdruck auszugleichen (was natürlich keinen klimaschonenden Lebensstil ersetzt) sondern bekommt auch Tipps wie genau dieser Lebensstil umgesetzt werden kann und wo man tatsächlich noch viel einsparen kann. Die App sollte viel bekannter werden, das das Thema viel präsenter in den Köpfen der Menschen wird. Also schon teilen 😄.
My favourite app atm
I was looking for an app to calculate my carbon footprint and possibly find out how I can reduce it. I really enjoyed the detailed calculator and got many insights already from the calculation! I think it’s amazing that they managed to find projects that can make a difference with such low sums. Aaaand I am simply in love with their intuitive and super aesthetic interface 😀
