Klipsch Connect Plus Reviews
Rarely works
The Klipsch Connect Plus app rarely connects to the Klipsch Music City series speakers (Detroit, Nashville, Austin). It might connect once every dozen attempts. With all firmware and ios updates current, tried power cycling the phone and the speaker, tried connecting Bluetooth to the speaker first then the app, tried connecting the app first then the Bluetooth, tried forgetting the device through iOS and re-reconnecting, tried uninstalling, reinstalling the app. None of it works. Once you manage to connect this app with your speaker, the app will disconnect if you change any setting. By default it is frozen, yet use of the app is required to adjust speaker settings and to update firmware as needed. Absurd.
Doesn’t work consistently
It’s great when it works. Says it’s connected to a Flexus Core 200 but none of the controls are active. It only allows you to mute the soundbar. Give it some time and it may or may not start working. Haven’t found a universal remote that works w/ the soundbar so having the app as a backup is a must. Had I know the soundbar didn’t have IR capability I would not have purchased. There is zero reason for proprietary controls when it comes to a basic soundbar.
No, Not Good.
One Plus firmware was updated last week. It has made things worse. I have 2 units that sometimes would connect via TWS (after multiple restarts and walking from one side of the room to the other) now they don’t connect at all. Icon just spins for hours. Restart, reload, reset from scratch, tried different iPhones - spent hours. Now we just listen to one speaker and hope one day the app and or firmware is fixed properly or detailed set up instructions and updated FAQs are available.
Worst app ever! Simply doesn’t work
I love the speaker but good is it if the app just shows a buffer wheel the whole time? I’d love to connect it to my new record player. Stupid just won’t work!
Don’t bother
Klipsch has great products but this app is absolutely awful. As other users have said it just freezes. Essentially locking you out of any of the controls that you download the app for. Save yourself the frustration and just use the remote till they figure out how to write usable code.
Great when it works
I have only had this system for 24hrs and so far I love it for the sound. However this app works great when it isn’t locked up wich is more often than not. Get that straightened out and I think it could be great.
Stops working after a while
Stopped working on two devices. The app says it’s connected to the soundbar but won’t allow me to change any settings.
Great — When it’s not frozen
I love the Klipsch Three… app is nice WHEN IT IS NOT FROZEN! Imagine the sound blasting but there’s no way to turn it down because suddenly the app is frozen. You have to run across the room to adjust the volume. Not fun.
Developers!!! Please fix this!!
Also I wish you didn’t have to go through the rigmarole to get to the controls. I realize the app allows you to control multiple devices, but there has to be a faster way to get to your product controls. Otherwise, make a remote control app.
Fail
This app will allow me to register but does not complete the registration. Upon reload it goes right back to the setup screen. I tried to bypass the setup and the next screen just freezes
One Issue …
The back icon < isn’t working, which makes it useless. I deleted and reinstalled … didn’t help.
