Best mobile phone code editor and its free
Everything I need is here, even for obscure code like Lilypond (music typesetting). The ONLY flaw I’ve found is in the auto-pairing () {} etc. Automatically typing the closing bracket/parenthesis may help avoid uncooked structure, but I would love an update that allows the close-bracket to be typed-OVER rather than arrowed-past. We touch typists know where the characters are without looking…the arrow keys, not so much. (Minor kvetch about an otherwise perfect programme.)
Although I know the app is very useful, they are using the SSH connection to spy on users and even access your phone. You can keep it if you want if you don't care about your phone's information, but I just want to let you know that your phone is even more vulnerable with this app, and you have no way to protect yourself. It's your decision what you decide to do. Personally, I'm very disappointed.
I can’t get the python to work when creating a new file. I do example.py and it dose not work. Other than that is works great and I love it please tell me how to do the python.
Very nice, but where is the option to disable soft line wrap?
In March of this year, I gave this app a negative review. However, my needs have since changed. Up until recently, I was using a product similar to this called "Runestone". However, they recently implemented features for iOS 18 which made it lag pretty badly. I admire their ambition, but it made me not want to use the app anymore. (I was using it as a "Notepad alternative" besides.) So, I finally decided to look for another "NotePad++"-like app, and here I am. This may not be as feature-rich as Runestone, but it really doesn't need to be. I can keep my notes just fine, it isolates my files from other things on my iPad, and it even maximizes the workspace by shrinking the top bar -- which I appreciate! I'd love to see more color customization options, a build-in character counter, and maybe a way to specify what kind of file I want to make (though, ".TXT" is about it) but otherwise? This is gonna be my go-to notepad going forward! Cheers and thank you, Reny Mustika and company!
I have uses them all and this is the best combo Editor/SSH app. Dropbox and local files work nice with clean UI.
I couldn't even paste a bunch of urls I copied from Safari. Worked like a charm in Runestone, a competing editor.
This app is the best app that I ever used for making a website. I am 13 and i created a website and it was so helpful. 😁
