Wow, the super great music app Korg have been awesome for almost ten years, but, today the released version 3! AUv3-support! New Gadgets! Many new features! Highly recommend this for every music lovers out in the world! Thanks Korg - we love you!!!!

This is possibly one of the longer reviews on itunes, but its long to provide folks at the very begining with insight as to where this fits into one artists workflow, thats all. First off i gotta say my memory of korg dates back to childhood discoveries i made in music stores with my dad, i grew up knowing these tools existed and wanted to get my hands on em for all my life. I would go on to buy all kinds of instruments but nothing compares to the portability of GADGET! For me and many, Gadget isnt about having limitless instruments and sounds, its about limitless possibilities, and gadget is the most perfect scratch pad and rough draft builder there is. ofcourse you can rough it out , refine it and master it all right inside the ipad, but Gadget exells at providing a flexible powerful non cluttered NON-CONVOLUTED portable recording studio! I love this app! How do I work with it myself? I use Gadget for; writing songs, deciding on layouts basic rough draft processes Making beats (1 to 4bar loops) For coming up with chords, melodies, and track layering. I dont mess with sound design here so much, just find a preset and get to work playing. Once i have a basic song, i either start in with sound design for final touch aspects, fine tuning instrument layerings, and get everything ready to move out to the next phase. By using Gadget for only the first half of my work, i always have the original first half so i can return and start over or even use it as a template for other material in the spirit of a certain song. Gadget is really a perfect tool for me. I am so thankful to have access to such an awsome collection of Korg instruments in an environment where the workflow is sooooo smooth and streamlined. You all did an amazing and beautiful job here. This wasnt created as an afterthought either, Korg jumped onboard ios music production early and has been one of the First handful of big companies in the itunes store, and the among the first to offer multi platform apps with Gadget available on Nintendo Switch and some other cool stuf, ( i only use ios) Gadget is realllllly reallly enhanced with the bluetooth le keyboard controller by Korg called nanokeystudio. The x2 aa bats last about 4 hours or more. And it is rather stable, built kinda cheapo though. There are lots of options with Gadget, one of my very favs! ( if you all cant tell)

I love the way it looks and how it's structured and of course all this high quality synths that are able to be part of the software as gadgets (no auv3). Korg Gadget is superior on Iphone compared to other DAW's and it wrilly is intuitive. Still, this App can not be my main DAW, some auv3 plugins are essential now on iOS, great drumsamplers, great samplers with modern intuitive onscreen sample change possibility when sample browser is limited or not exist at all. Some auv3s are directly ported from pc and are essential too, like fx plugins. I Think Its Time To Implement AUV3 KORG.

I'll keep this short – Gadget 2 isn't worth an essay…;-) So, here it is: You'r not allowed to record more than 16 bars in a go! So, Gadget 2 is useless for anyone who can actually play an instrument in real-time for more than 16 bars. Apparently, it's meant as a construction kit for EDM kiddies. Even (free!) Garageband allows unlimited unbroken recording! 20 bucks down the drain. The only way I might forgive Korg for this disater will be if they finally update iWavestation to AUv3. But who am I kidding… VERY disappointed and with no hope of a refund.

I dont like the keyboard on the instruments. Give us a natural normal keyboard with all notes. All you focus on is to add new in-app purchases in every update! Give us a natural keyboard to play the instruments! Even look bad on iPad Pro. edit: the solution of the keyboard looks crap, i want a classic keyboard not some futuristic junk solution. i don’t use this a-p just cause of the bad useinterface , it’s not adapted for ipad pro, so much more space to use, just ugly and horrible to play music on. 1 Star until you fix the UI and give us a real classic looking keyboard.

This is the best app for music production and it is getting better with each new instrument and upgrade. The new synth Lisbon and the piano sample purchase for the module are my personal favourites. Even if you spend a lot of money on in-app purchases for your Korg Gadget, it still is cheap.
