■ Perform Using A Single Finger
iKaossilator uses the unique X-Y interface made famous by Korg’s entire Kaoss Line, including the original hand-held KAOSSILATOR. Create melodies and phrases simply by stroking, tapping, or rubbing the touch screen with your finger; no musical knowledge is required.

■ Bright, Colorful Visual Effects
iKaossilator is also focused on its graphic design, which shows up beautifully on the iPhone's high-quality display. The visual effects on the iPhone's display move along with your performance and add excitement. These bold, colorful graphics provide an exciting performance experience.

■ 150 Diverse Sounds Covering Many Musical Styles
Use the 150 built-in sounds to perform and produce a broad range of dance music styles including hip-hop, house, techno, dubstep, nu-disco, and electro. Enjoy the synth leads and synth bass sounds you expect from a synthesizer. The drum sounds let you play and manipulate various patterns simply by moving your finger.

■ Loop Sequencer
The built-in loop sequencer lets you layer up to five musical parts. To create a track, simply assign a loop such as synth, bass, chords, sound effects, or drums to each part. Fifty loops created by professional musicians are built-in to help you get started quickly. In addition to its track-making capabilities, this loop sequencer is also a great feature for live performance. The Mix Play feature makes it easy to enjoy live remixing; you can switch seamlessly to another loop or extract a specific part from another loop while the playback continues.

■ Audio Export
You can record your performance in real time, or export a completed loop as an audio file. By sending your creations to a Mac or PC via iTunes, you can share them with your friends or use them in a full-fledged music production. You can also upload them directly to SoundCloud.

■ Share Loops on SoundCloud
n online audio platform that's very popular among musical creators. The loops you create can be uploaded directly to SoundCloud from within the app. If you attach the loop data, it will be shared to other users' loop lists. Users worldwide will be exposed to new loops they've never heard, and can combine them with their own loops to create remixes. It's a new way of enjoying music by and unleashing your iKaossilator’s potential throughout the world.
∗ When using SoundCloud, you must observe SoundCloud Ltd.'s terms of use, such as the prohibition on uploading songs whose copyright is the property of a third party.

## KORG iKaossilator Reviews in United States

### ***** "Awesome"
Best app ever imo and it still works. I’ve had countless hours of fun making music and mixing the pre-recorded tracks. Only thing is I wish they still made sound packs I would buy them all
-- salasar, 2026-08-31

### ***** "The best app ever"
I’ve had this app for close to 10 years and It has solved so many problems for me. Sometimes I perform with just this app, sometimes I use it to handle my ADHD, and sometimes it’s just nice to be able to make some music spontaneously.
-- Taylor K, 2026-07-13

### ***** "Best music app ever"
It’s good and all But it gets no updates
-- xcv_plazz, 2026-07-03

### ***** "Tastes Great. Less Filling"
Huh. Wish I could record my voice into this. It’s still amazing without my voice.
-- digarts2020, 2026-07-03

### *---- "Gate arp please. Will change review."
I own four versions of the hardware. A Kaossilator, a Kaossilator 2, a Kaoss pad, and the new NTS1 Kaoss. All of the Kaossilators have a gate Arp -except this app -which I have owned since day one and I have contacted Korg at least 15 times regarding this and have updated my review many times. Why can’t they add one? Why is it so hard? Make it an in app purchase and I will buy it. Don’t get me wrong- Kaossilators are all touch screen so it isn’t a huge leap for a touch device and they pulled it off well except for the arp. They even allowed the option of turning of the flashing lights as requested by many users they never listened when users asked for an arp. Gate arp! The 13 th year in a row I have requested.... please!! I did pay full price for this app when it came out, which was quite a bit to pay for an app that many years ago. Come on Korg don’t abandon this app… it still was in the top 200 so people are using it and I paid 20 bucks for this app in the mid 2000s. Actually, it was one of the most expensive apps back then and I own every single app you guys make +15 pieces of your hardware. Add some more sounds in an in app purchase and a gate Arp please

### ***-- "No mixer?"
See, that’s a complaint I totally agree with. Otherwise, for free (?) it’s pretty good.
-- whyshouldi?, 2026-01-26

### ****- "WARNING: THIS APP WILL SPOIL YOU!"
Update:
Recent updates have made it so that there is very little contrast between the way an instrument knob appears when muted and when not muted when the instrument is not selected. The colors just do not contrast enough like they used to. This makes it difficult to see, at a glance, which tracks are muted or not. Very annoying.

This is the best music sequencer of all time. Period. The included sounds may not be everyone's cup of tea but you will not find a better sequencing workflow anywhere else. You will have so much fun making songs, you will wonder why people think music is difficult. You will try (and fail) to replicate this fun in other music making apps and then come right back to this. There is nothing, NOTHING, more intuitive, more fluid, and more fun for jamming out and putting songs together via software. You've been warned!
-- Leom187, 2025-12-03

### ***** "Sweet but…"
We need more sound packs!
-- Codowlsky Polopumus, 2024-11-13

### ***** "So much fun!"
This little app is so much fun
-- eduardo 34, 2024-10-31

### ****- "Fun app but I need help"
If one of the developers could help me with something I would greatly appreciate it. Had a lot of fun playing on this app, but I got a new phone and I don’t know how to get the tracks from my iPhone X to my iPhone 13. I understand that I probably can get Ableton and do it that way, but is there anyway I can get it from phone to phone without downloading or buying Ableton? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Like other reviews have said it’s not incredibly intuitive but once you play around with the app for an hour or so it’s a lot of fun and a generated some great ideas.
