KORG Module has five dedicated sound engines, providing a number of high-quality sounds that can be played back on your iOS using the "NATIVE ENGINE”. These engines feature technology that was developed for KORG's historic line of workstations and synthesizers including: Acoustic Piano, Electric Piano, Clav, Organ, Multi, and Hybrid. Each display has carefully selected parameters, making it convenient and easy to adjust the sounds. We’ve also carefully ensured ideal playability and designed the system for ultra-low latency. Fantastic app
KORG is just astounding with their iPad apps. The whole reason for getting an iPad three years ago was because it's such a great tool for making music. KORG makes the right apps for the job. I don't see myself carrying my laptop to a live gig again. Module has the sounds for the job.
In-app Recording functionality
This app continues to improve, but I’ve noticed that whenever I try to record something, and then save it to an exterior app (other) it crashes and then I lose the entire recording. It’s that simple.
Loading problems
After latest update I am having loading issues in Cubasis 3. Update: Thank you developers for your quick fix on this issue.
Sudden major problem
I use Korg Module Pro in the AUM app. Suddenly today, when I open a saved project with Korg Module Pro in one or more tracks, if I change the voice it is playing, the track with Korg Module Pro instantly crashes. This failure is happening 100% of the time.
How to Load Expansions on a 2nd Device
For the person who was unable to load a purchased expansion pack on a second device… In Module Pro (and many other apps), you can't always proceed as if you are buying the expansion on a 2nd device w/ your Apple ID. You may need to do a "restore" to force the 2nd device to check for purchases. In Module Pro, you go to the Store page. In the upper left corner, there is a "Your Items" button. That opens a pop-up window, with a "Restore" button in the top left. Tapping that should recognize the expansion packs you purchased on your 1st device (and add them to the list below). You may also need to do a "Download" step after this, either there or via a button at the bottom of the expansion's display in the Store (I don't recall).
Would give it five stars, except …..
I purchased 4 expansion sound packs ,loaded them onto my iPad but when I went to install them on another device, you can’t do it unless you purchase them again.
Disappointing
The stock piano sounds are underwhelming and inferior to any decent portable stage piano. I downloaded a trial of the Ivory piano expansion but it never showed up in the app, even after downloading it twice. There also doesn’t appear to be drawbars to adjust the organ patches. I guess you need to buy an expansion pack for that. I am annoyed that I spent $20 on an app that is so limited. The organs and EPs are much better in Apple’s Logic for iPad. Logic is more expensive, but it provides the control and sound I expect from a professional app.
Great app
For me, this is one of best sounding pianos on the iPad, especially when tweaking the effects a bit on the Ivory piano.
New Packs Not Showing Up in Gadget 2
Korg Module is supposed to integrate with gadget 2. I bought the packs that are on sale today. None of them are showing in gadget 2, even w refreshes and restores. I went thru every gadget associated with Module Pro, and there is nothing of the new sounds showing up in gadget 2. This plugin no longer works as advertised with gadget 2
