Die physische Weltkarte veranschaulicht die Höhenstrukturen, Flüsse, Seen und Meere der Erde. Die politische Karte präsentiert Ihnen die Staaten der Welt, deren administrative Gliederungen und Städte. Danach hatte ich lange gesucht und mir dabei viele ähnliche Apps angeschaut. Der Kosmos Weltatlas ist für mich der beste Welt-Globus im AppStore.  Er funktioniert intuitiv wie ein früherer beleuchteter Globus, nur sehr, sehr viel besser, weil detailreicher und informativer. Allerdings könnte der Entwickler USM auch mal wieder an ein Update denken.

### ***** "Ausgesprochen hilfreich"
Der digitale Atlas ist ein echter Lichtblick im Wust aller möglichen Atlas-Apps. Seit dem Dahinscheiden der National Geographic World Atlas App vor einigen Jahren war ich auf der Suche nach einer brauchbaren Weltatlas-App. Hier hat man eigentlich alles richtig gemacht: funktioniert prima, nicht überladen - noch dazu zu einem absolut fairen Preis. Ich nutze die App in Ergänzung zur Diercke-Atlas-App, die dann thematisch mehr in die Tiefe geht, allerdings keinen so brauchbaren Überblick bietet. Fazit: Absolut zu empfehlen !

### ****- "Gut gemachte und sehr informative App !"
Insgesamt ist der Weltatlas ausgesprochen hilfreich, man will ja nicht stets einen Atlas mit sich rumschleppen.

Die Handhabung und die Funktionen sind durchdacht und funktionieren selbst auf einem älteren iPad einwandfrei. Die Auflösung der Karten finde ich OK, es sind ja jetzt schon rund 500 MB Daten. 

Allerdings könnten die Länderdaten seit Ihrem Erscheinen in 2016/ 2017 mal wieder ein Update vertragen. Zudem wäre es eine gute Ergänzung, wenn die politischen Karten, etwas detaillierter wären und zumindest für die 'relevanten' Länder wie Deutschland, Österreich, Frankreich, die USA, Kanada u.a. die Bundesländer, Departments oder Bundesstaaten umfassen würden. Insofern wäre eine Weiterentwicklung der App nach 4 Jahren seit Erscheinen durchaus wünschenswert !!!!

Handlicher Atlas, der einen schönen Überblick erlaubt, wenn man mal schnell einen geografischen Überblick über eine Region bekommen möchte.
Dazu informative Themenkarten und eine Länderliste nach Art eines Almanachs. Die wichtigsten Informationen zur Länderkunde zusammengefasst.

### *---- "Welche Enttäuschung!"
Von der App hatte ich mir deutlich mehr versprochen. Die Weltkarten sind ja ganz interessant, aber mehr als eine Schulkartenansicht mit einigen Großstädten darf man nicht erwarten. Die Länderinfos mit Stand von 2016, 2017 sind veraltet, was soll man damit anfangen? Wenigstens einen Link auf eine Wikipedia-Seite hätte man einfügen können. Aber so kann man das schlichtweg vergessen.
Die Verbindung zu Openstreetmap klang recht gut, aber welch Enttäuschung! Die ganzen Beschriftungen sind in Landessprache, chinesisch, russisch etcpp., man kommt sich veräppelt vor :-(. 
Das scheint als hätte man schnell ein paar Sachen zusammengestellt, ohne wenigstens ein bisschen auf Qualität zu achten. Liebe Leute, das kann es ja wohl nicht sein. Von Kosmos war man/ich etwas anderes gewohnt.

Eine grobe, detailarme Karte wie aus einem Grundschulkinderbuch abgescannt, die über den Bildschirm ruckelt, dazu spärlichste und veraltete Länderinfos - dieses primitive Machwerk wäre geschenkt noch zu teuer, und ich ärge mich über das zum Fenster hinausgeworfene Geld.

Ich finde es schade, dass die App etwas schwerfällig ist, so lässt es sich nur holprig scrollen, bei Länderinfo fehlt die Landessprache, ebenso vermisse ich die Anzeige der Breitengrade.

Habe ein iPad Mini mit iOS 9.xx. 
Die App stürzt beim Öffnen immer ab, obgleich die angegebenen Voraussetzungen stimmen. Somit ... Geld ausgegeben, ohne dass ich diese App jemals benutzen konnte.
Finger weg, das "Teil" läuft nicht.
Deshalb NULL Sterne.
