I’ve been lifting weights and working out for over 15 years. It was fine but always felt like a chore. Working out with Kelly and Team Limitless has transformed my attitude to working out. It’s actually fun! Kelly is a fantastic trainer, she pushes you and challenges you and you WILL progress if you follow her lead. I’m hitting a streak after a streak, I CAN’T WAIT to work out with Team Limitless, literally the highlight of my day. Join us, you’ll love it!

But I can’t not for this. I’ll keep it short though. I’ve struggled for years to maintain a healthy consistent lifestyle and whilst I like the gym I always felt a bit lost in finding something I enjoy enough to keep me coming back. Enter Ladder. I have seen muscle gain, fat loss and I’ve lost 35 lbs March - May. I am in the gym 5-6 times a week because I’m enjoying it. Loving it in fact. The team format is fun with chat and cheers keeping me engaged and badges earned are fun thing too. Who doesn’t love a reward? I’ve seen the best results I have ever and as a 40+ year old woman that’s incredible.

Its the ultimate training app, it will store the weight you lift at for each exercise and when the same exercise comes round another day, will show your current PB and your expected 1 rep max weight to truly make progressive overload (science backed most efficient way to build muscle) simple. Easy videos, good warms ups and cool downs. Fresh plans every week, a truly great app I have paid for 6 months now as I chase my goals. All you need to do is show up & follow your routine!

I love this app, the workouts are well planned and coach Robin is really encouraging and positive whilst coming across as very genuine and non patronising. I like that there are options to tailor your workout to add prep time or pause after reps. It’s also great that you can listen to your own music or just workout with no music. I’d been stuck in a rut of doing nothing and as a busy mum this app has really helped me get back into working out and hopefully eventually back into shape!

Honestly it might be one of the best designed apps I've ever used. I feel like the developers took the journey map with every possible pain point and said "not today sir". I love how the workouts are set out, the videos, the journal (including the ability to note whether you're using dumbbells, barbel machine etc), how it connects so smoothly to my Apple Watch. When it comes to exercise I need to minimise the barriers and Ladder just makes everything so easy. I love having the coach in my ear telling me what to do and even how long to rest for. Particularly for strength training which I often didn't feel confident enough to do at the gym by myself. Now I'm doing proper weights and the work outs are fun! Major props to all involved, you should be proud!

It’s amazing, and well worth the subscription. You will see noticeable improvements with proof thanks to the excellent journal system that tracks each time you performed an exercise. The video instructions are clear and high quality and the audio guidance from the trainer helps to perfect form so to achieve the best results. I love going to the gym now!

Too many notifications

I’m having to change my review as this is ridiculous. I have received 22 notifications in less than a week without ANY interaction with the app… it’s at all times of the day, and it’s got to stop?? I know you can turn notifications off, but what is the justification for this many notifications anyway? The app shows so much promise, but this issue is too irritating.

After going to the gym for years and taking a year off due to injury, the idea of getting back into it and creating my split sounded incredibly daunting. The greatest barrier for me going to the gym was always this, sitting down each week and planning new workouts always unsure if they were optimal. Thankfully with this app my coach does it for me whilst also providing support and instructions keeping me motivated and feeling good and I really do feel good, I leave the gym exhausted but full of accomplishment and confidence knowing I am doing the right thing. You can choose how far you throw yourself into your plan as there is always plenty of advice from your coach and team members if you can only do a few days a week but if you go full swing, coach takes no hostages you will be worked incredibly hard but that’s the fun of it. The team chat function is great and very motivating but I find the most support and motivation from having the voiceovers in my ear the entire workout and the app timing rests and telling me what’s up next. The weight journal is not without its faults but it is certainly so much better than my old methods of spreadsheets and messy notes on my phone. This app has given me confidence, motivation and broken down the biggest barriers into getting into the gym, worth it’s weight in gold. If you are thinking of giving it a go just do it.

Has good content and I’d love to use the app but it’s too buggy. Onboarding videos overlap each other and it’s an echo of noise. When I go underground and use my gym wifi, I can’t access the app at all. I really want to subscribe to Ladder but I can’t commit to it if it doesn’t work where and when I need it to

I’m in my 4th week of using ladder on Team Iconic with Coach Sarah and it has been the best workout app I’ve experienced (I have used a few). I love the in ear coaching as it helps me to push myself harder. It genuinely feels like I have a personal trainer. I also like the functionality of the app and the data I can input about my workout which is great for tracking progress. Another great feature is that I can sync my Apple Watch as well as my music and the listening experience isn’t interrupted when Coach Sarah is speaking. I never leave written reviews but I have to give credit where credit is due. The only feature I’d add is the ability to indicate where I am in my cycle and have an option for lighter workouts at times as I am weaker during my luteal phase. Other than that I am very pleased with the app.
