Penalties for harming these resources include fines of up to $25,000, imprisonment, and payment of value of the resource damaged. Please help us care for Lāna‘i’s heritage landscape – take only photos, and leave only footprints behind. The information has been researched and compiled over several decades from local and national archive repositories. The concept of the guide is that providing residents and island visitors with accurate information will lead to better experiences on the island, foster a sense of appreciation for Lāna‘i, and build a sense of stewardship for our cherished resources. Traveling this storied landscape one experiences the awe of an island’s birth and arrival of life on once barren shores. The history also touches on the wonder of the first people who settled the island nearly 800 years ago to become the Hawaiians, and how they lived upon the land in a careful system of cultural sustainability. The heritage site narratives also described how in less than 125 years the development of ranching and plantation operations changed the landscape. The application has been developed through a partnership of the Lāna‘i Culture & Heritage Center and Pūlama Lāna‘i, and in the first phase of work was funded by the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority (www.hawaiitourismauthority.org) and Hawai‘i Community Foundation (www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org). The application was designed and implemented by Maui-based Koa IT through Lawelawe i Maui Nui, and is meant to be a dynamic tool that adds value to the experience of residents and visitors as they explore Lāna‘i. Primary resource documentation from a wide range of archives is now housed in the collections of the Lāna‘i Culture & Heritage Center and Pūlama Lāna‘i. Was able to tell us historical significance of the different things we were seeing on the island. Recommend for those who plan on renting a vehicle and checking out the more remote part of the island. Thank you Hawaii tourism board for making this app! -- Bigokidz, 2016-03-09 ### *---- "Won't open" Flashed to a white screen, then closes. Tried re-starting phone and reloading app. -- TubblyBubbly, 2016-01-29 [View all Lāna‘i Guide reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Apps Similar to Lāna‘i Guide - [Maui Revealed Drive Tour](https://apptail.io/app/maui-revealed-drive-tour-WQK/united-states) - [Hana Revealed Drive Tour](https://apptail.io/app/hana-revealed-drive-tour-YQK/united-states) - [Haleakala National Park Tour](https://apptail.io/app/haleakala-national-park-tour-acZ/united-states) - [holoholo Mobility](https://apptail.io/app/holoholo-mobility-bEkb/united-states) - [GoHawaii App](https://apptail.io/app/gohawaii-app-KaDb/united-states) - [Hawaii Travel Guide ..](https://apptail.io/app/hawaii-travel-guide-MaDb/united-states) - [Oahu Circle GPS Audio Guide](https://apptail.io/app/oahu-circle-gps-audio-guide-QaDb/united-states) - [Road to Hana: Maui Audio Tours](https://apptail.io/app/road-to-hana-maui-audio-tours-Edgc/united-states) - [Maui Bus](https://apptail.io/app/maui-bus-Jebd/united-states) - [Mokulele Airlines](https://apptail.io/app/mokulele-airlines-Nftm/united-states) ## Lāna‘i Guide Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/united-states) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/switzerland) - [Estonia](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/estonia) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/united-kingdom) - [Greece](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/greece) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/ireland) - [Israel](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/israel) - [South Korea](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/south-korea) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/new-zealand) - [Poland](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/poland) - [Türkiye](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/turkey) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/canada) - [South Africa](https://apptail.io/app/lanai-guide-Yhsl/south-africa) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
