## Languish Description
Start playing Languish to actually speak French, quickly and intuitively.

Everyone agrees that speaking is the hardest part of learning a language… but the only way to get good is to do it. With Languish, you’ll spend the entire time speaking French. So when you’re on the spot in real life, you’ll be confident and ready.

Play Languish for just a few minutes a day, and see your fluency rise. Soon you’ll be able to ask for the bill, buy tickets, eat at a restaurant, find the toilet and more, all in French.

For each block that falls on the screen, you’ll see a phrase in English. Explode the block by saying the matching phrase in French. You’ll get immediate feedback on what you said. The game adapts to what you know, and efficiently optimizes for your learning.

Languish teaches you new phrases and identifies what you struggle with the most. It won’t waste your time with ads, annoying popups, or AI slop.

You can spend hours “learning” a language and still freeze up when trying to speak a single word. With Languish, that won’t happen anymore.

Languish also includes a Numbers game. Levels range from 1 to 9,999, with male and female speakers for each. You’ll quickly learn to recognize French numbers like a native. So next time you hear a telephone number, street address, or how much your croissant costs, you’ll be ready!

We’re a two-person independent software team. We carefully crafted this app to be high-quality, fun and effective. The “in-app purchases” for Languish are just the ability to optionally leave a tip, which goes toward the development of new features.

## Languish Reviews in United States

### ***** "Helped so much!"
I’ve always struggled with French numbers. When I go to pay in a shop in Paris, I get all flustered and can’t think quickly enough to understand what the shopkeeper is asking for. This app will help me to think on my toes. I’m so excited to try my new skills on my trip to France tomorrow! Thank you!
-- annemackey, 2025-07-26

### ***** "Surprisingly fun - recommend"
Languish made it easy to understand and work on my weak spots. Definitely recommend!
-- LIQbhffj, 2025-03-19

### ***** "Great to learn and practice with!"
This app is fun! And really kind of exciting to learn with because of the colorful and action-filled game design! With no prior knowledge of French, I learned the numbers from 1-9 in five minutes.

Now I’m learning higher numbers. The pace is always challenging but reasonable. There’s lots of feedback on your progress over time.

I think this app would be great for French learners and improvers of every age and level.
-- mmygoat, 2025-03-14

### ***** "I can finally do numbers!"
This app is a godsend. I’ve been learning French for 6 years and I “learned” French numbers ages ago. But even basic numbers still tripped me up because French people speak fast!
This app is exactly what I need. I can already tell I’m processing numbers faster and in a more “natural” way.
Couldn’t recommend it more!
-- eaglewolf9, 2025-03-12

### ***** "Intuitive"
An easy way to learn how to recognize French numbers without any other preparation
