## Lardr Description
Lardr is a beautiful recipe book for home cooks who care where their food data lives.

Other recipe apps lock your recipes inside walled gardens. Lardr saves every recipe as a Markdown file in a folder you choose — iCloud Drive, Dropbox, your phone's Files app, anywhere. Your collection survives app uninstalls, syncs through services you already trust, and stays readable by you (and by AI tools) decades from now.

— Plan, shop, cook —

• A 7-day meal planner with leftovers logic
• A smart shopping list that combines quantities across recipes and groups items by supermarket aisle
• Common items (bread, milk, eggs) one tap away
• Cook Mode: full-screen step-by-step with concurrent timers

— Built for capture —

• Type a recipe in seconds
• Scan a recipe from a magazine or cookbook with your camera
• Paste a URL — Lardr extracts the recipe automatically
• Pull recipes from a Notion database

— Smart AI, on your terms —

• Bring your own Anthropic API key to unlock vision-powered photo and URL imports
• Claude parses messy recipe pages into clean, structured ingredients and steps
• Never sent to our servers — your photos go directly from your device to Anthropic
• Or skip AI entirely: on-device text recognition works without any account

— Cookbook export —

• Export a single recipe as a beautifully typeset PDF
• Bundle multiple recipes into a hardback-style cookbook with cover and contents

— Editorial design —

• Brass, paper, and ink — designed to feel like a well-loved cookbook, not a database
• Georgia serif typography, large hero photos, generous whitespace

— File-portable, future-proof, yours —

Your recipes are plain Markdown. If Lardr ever goes away, your data stays. Open it in any text editor. Migrate to whatever comes next. You own your cookbook.
