LastPass Password Manager Reviews

Increasingly Frustrating To Use

pdnck337 on

United States

After years of relying on LastPass, I’ve become increasingly frustrated with its functionality. Forgetting your master password is essentially a dead end—Face ID, which I’ve come to rely on signing in with was suddenly disabled (and not my doing), which locked me out of my account. Attempts to reset my master password repeatedly resulted in multiple unknown error messages. When I finally received a verification code, I encountered more issues and was recommended to reset my account, which meant losing all saved data and passwords. What used to be a reliable app has become an inconvenient and frustrating experience. It’s no longer worth the hassle and I would only recommend to my worst enemy.

The Original. The Best.

It is a very helpful password manager. Reasonably priced. Lots of options.

Could never recover account

Forthegirls086528 on

After using the app for several years out of the blue I get locked out of my account and no recovery method or options available which was so disappointing. It was not a matter of wrong password or anything and the exact same thing happened to my mother who used the app. Will not be using in the future

MFA is a nightmare, even though I have master password and code sent to my email

My life control

This program has controlled my life for years. Without it out I would not have named it through a divorce wedding, newborn, and 3 jobs. I love you guys and thank you so much for keeping my life secure. Mad love and good vibes. -Daddy

Pretty crappy a lot of the time

Jelloisgood on

You can’t do simple stuff like paste into the password field when you’re trying to save a password. Its too persistent trying to force you to generate one. Passwords sometimes copy with spaces in them. No easy way to send feedback. Often doesn’t fill forms at all, will have to leave the modal, go to the app, copy the password manually and give you a hard time about it. Not very quick to solve issues introduced by new iOS versions. The family feature is garbage, no one I’ve invited can figure out how to accept the invite to the family plan. Very fickle shared family feature.

Probably more on apple, but on iPad could be better

good / strange on

United States

They are trying, but I believe Apple isn’t making it easy for an outside application to supply plant some of their core components. Still, could work better. I will continue to soldier through with LastPass, because I use it elsewhere in my ecosystem

Stopped working

Used very successfully for several months. Suddenly, the 2nd factor authentication stopped working. My subscription is currently useless. Unable to get any help.
