I have tried the online support videos but they are both outdated and lacking. I realize that the software is rather new and that new features are being added constantly, but at the same time users need to know what features are available and how to use the features. I have had instrument for a number of days now and am still in discovery mode and struggling with how to make things work. All of the reviews and updates that I have posted since receiving my Lava Genie have wiped off the map! People have complained about the app not running in native iPad mode for three years and 9t still doesn’t. I personally do not like using it with my iPhone … too small, too busy, odd UI, terrible UX and no offense; but, I don’t like the community feature at all … save it for a social network. 24 March 2025: Dropping my rating to one star. Still no auto update of all presets at once and still no true iPadOS facing UI/UX. This is not a sampling guitar (Lava Genie). New functions are frequently added and the developers are very responsive to user requests or concerns. If you don’t have a musical background you can keep it simple and use it like a Karaoke App that includes an instrument. Lots of fun. I downloaded the Lava+ app to my iPhone 15. The app recognized the Genie and uploaded that information into the app and then wanted to update to a new version but never did. I downloaded the app (Lava+) and made an account. The account was working and everything but now I was at the step where I had to activate the guitar. I charged the guitar to 100% and started to set it up to the point where you had to activate it. Now here’s the crazy part, I was sitting next to the guitar for an hour trying to scan the code but it would NOT work. It kept giving me a grey message and going back to the camera.
